I use the NIV out of ecumenical purposes. Douay Rheims (which is what I use for myself) has servant as well. KJV has servant too. Where are you getting 'slave'?

Your problem is that I cite all of scripture and not the parts you like? And Jesus would hate me for it? We have an obligation to make use of the talents and to do the best job that we can possibly do, especially when trusted with the resources of other people. MLK Jr even had a quote for it - streetsweepers have an obligation to sweep streets as Christ himself would sweep them.
