  • Your childish money worship is quite clear. You've never made any secret of your doe eyed adoration of those superhumans who carefully administer the wealth for the good of all. Just like you've never hidden your desire for poor people to suffer and die for the cardinal sin of being poor. Jesus would hate you.
Again, as I said, "Jesus came for the Jews only". That's a reference to a specific scripture quote. I suggest you look up the reference before commenting further.

Please tell me about how Jesus loved the rich and hated the poor.
"For it is not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick".

Again, I suggest reading up on the parable of the Talents. "From whom much is given, much more is expected."

      • So you're for regulating demand and supply. Gotcha.
I've obviously not been clear enough here - even in the case of regulation of supply, (which is what you are talking about) the demand side of the issue has to be addressed. Just because something is banned, doesn't mean that the demand magically vanishes.

Parable of the Samaritan woman. You should know this by now.

I don't know what that has to do with your absurd claim that the market rewards good, and punishes evil, but I don't care how much people want to watch child porn, I only care that children are not actually being sexually exploited.

No thanks, I'm not interested enough in whatever random idiocy you're trying to bleat.

What does a parable about hard work have to do with a love of the rich?

“Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But accumulate for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”
Was this too complex for your simple mind to comprehend?

For the purposes of this thread I will of course skip over the implications of you quoting biblical verses about slaves. I'm kind like that.

You should, because that is what is driving people to produce it.

Have you ever heard of this prayer? The theologian that made it up might have been the first neocon.

You're obviously capable of using scripture to support your arguments.

Anyways, parable of the Samaritan woman, is where the Samaritan woman tells Jesus, "for even the dogs eat the crumbs off of their master's table", which is where your own words come from.

What does a parable about hard work have to do with a love of the rich?
                      It's all about investment.

The end of it has the lesson. Matthew 25:29-30.

For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
Here's the entire parable: Matthew 25:14-30

“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

“After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

“The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

“Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’

“His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

“‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
Was this too complex for your simple mind to comprehend?
Not at all. You seem to think that it is either/or. It's not.

So you are suggesting that Christianity offers nothing to help people overcome their sinful desires? Really? I offer scripture in response - Paul's, "Dead to sin, alive in Christ". We can, and must address the demand side of things.

You just used a verse that says that interest is not earned income.

You miss this part? There's a difference between income earned off a bank account, and interest earned in investments. One is larger than the other.
