    • I want to know if God still commands people to kill? Or could he in the future? Is it possible? And how would we know?

God doesn't speak to people and tell them to kill. You have to know in your heart whether it's right or not. Of course some will disobey God and say God told them to do it.

Would a Christian jury convict in good conscience a man who insisted God commanded him to kill?

A christian should rebuke someone who claims that God told them to kill someone, but that still leaves the decision to the individual.

Not completely sure. I just did a bit more digging and it appears that gifts donated by people to the churches are considered tax exempt but only charities are treated as tax exempt organizations..

I invite Mr. Fun, if he thinks my life is a bed of roses to trade places. Perhaps then he and you would get a taste of the real world.

Let me ask you funyun - were you barred from entering public school?

Shut the hell up. Being gay in bumble**** Iowa has got to be tough. I'm sure things are a lot better now than 20-30 years ago, but there is still so much sickening prejudice against gays. No one's telling you that deaf people are sick perverts who are going to hell.

                        • I go to a university which is home to the National Technical Institute of the Deaf. Somewhere between 8-10% of the students are deaf or hard of hearing.

Deaf people have it worse than gay people. That is just a fact. Saying gay people have it harder than people who cannot hear is unbelievably retarded.

                          • Addendum: I doubt that in all of human history gay people have been worse off than deaf people at any point.

Maybe, but someone who would argue that the social prejudice against deaf people is worse is unbelievably retarded.

Lots of places effectively don't serve deaf people, or serve them poorly, because of the issue of communication. Rochester has a very large deaf population, so a lot of businesses have things like dual typewriters so deaf people can communicate with the clerks. But in most places it can be very difficult. Gay people don't have problems driving where they can't hear sirens or horns. Gay people don't have issues with getting blindsided by buses when crossing the street. Gay people don't have issues simply communicating with the vast majority of the population.
