  • How does this happen? Chick-fil-A branded as anti-gay?

I'm sure you've heard about the hoopla surrounding Chick-fil-A... but what started it?

    This interview:

You can control-F it and search for 'gay' but you'll find no mention of gays anywhere in it.

If you read between the lines, you can say this references anti-gay sentiment:

"We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.

"We operate as a family business ... our restaurants are typically led by families; some are single. We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that," Cathy emphasized.
But it's not definitive or clear.

So what gives with the hoopla? Liberal media bias?

It seems they've just now found out that the owner of Chik-fil-A is a devout Christian.

Chick-fil-A has always been a conservative Christian company. Some morons are finally noticing, and the usual crybabies are all freaking out.
        John Brown did nothing wrong.

What does this have to do with the actual operations of the restaurant? The uproar seems to me to be openly bigoted. Imagine if it were run by orthodox Jews.

Well, in fairness, I wouldn't eat at a place that donated to Planned Parenthood.

This is pretty ****ing stupid though. Why should the mayor have a say in whether or not a business opens up a branch in "his" city? Economic freedom, anyone?

There would be no beef with it because Jews are an important voting bloc for liberals.

No. Hindu-owned would be no beef. Jewish owned would be no pork.

You think I don't know that? Chick Fil A doesn't serve beef anyway, that's their ****ing slogan.

Boston is basically San Fransisco -East Coast. The uproar in Boston now is because Chick fil A wants to open their first store there.

The owners supposedly give heavily to groups that oppose gay marriage. Right or wrong, people connect the dots.
