Yeah, you do care. Which is why you are telling everyone else that they have to change to accommodate you. That's damned arrogant.

Marriage existed before religions hijacked it, it'll exist after religions die out.
True, but marriage benefits don't exist prior to Christianity. So if you try to tear the two apart, good luck with that. What does Sharia think about marriage, btw?

Some latent homosexual Christians seem to be extremely threatened by the possibility of marrying a same-sex spouse because it represents temptation. I'm tired from hearing about your insecurities.
Some gay people like to project their feelings on other people to mask their own insecurities.

Words have meaning. Change how words are used then you change how people think. You want the word marriage badly and you want to punish those who don't use the words in the fashion that you approve.

Then you act all surprised when people challenge you.

You want a construct resembling marriage, etc, go ahead do whatever you want, call it whatever you want. But you have no right to force me to recognise or acknowledge it, especially not through the use of my taxpayer dollars, or through state control.

Marriage is the same as it has always been, one man and one woman for life. If that word is repugnant to you, then find another.

Oh, and can we have gay back please too?

I hope you understand what asher means when he says, 'find yourself a different construct.' I'm glad to see that the gloves are off for once.

I'm sorry, what does a straight married couple need to change?

Your compulsion to marry a man is not universal among straight men. Most straight men will remain married to their wives.

Errrm? What would I be projecting here?

            That I'm secretly heterosexual?

            Erm? Who is being punished?

Then you act all surprised when people challenge you.
I'm not at all surprised that Christian bigots challenge. You challenged the end of segregation, you challenged the end of slavery, you challenged women's suffrage, and you challenged gay rights. A strong history of bigotry means no one is surprised, just disappointed.

Marriage is the same as it has always been, one man and one woman for life.
This is demonstrably not true. Look up the laws in Canada and New York. Many churches also don't define it that way.

Sadly for you, our governments are not Catholic theocracies. And thank **** for that, we've got enough pedophiles as it is.

Oh, and can we have gay back please too?
It's the straights that use the word the most. Usually as a pejorative. So, suck it.

It actually is exactly like that. Separate but equal -- segregated. Sorry.

              • Telephones didn't exist prior to Christianity. Therefore Christians should decide who is legally permitted to have them.

Personally, I don't want gays to have a telephone. I can't believe they want to force their gay telephone ownership on society.

                • Isn't making another term actually more expensive and time-consuming?

If you're honest about giving them equal rights, then all laws pertaining to marriage and all private contracts (insurance companies, etc) will need to be modified to account for the new word. That seems awfully expensive because it makes you feel icky that other people can call their love marriage, too.

Traditionally, a telephone connected one Christian to another Christian as well.

You can have your own telephone, just call it something else. Like telaphone.

Why should 99 percent accommodate 1 percent?

Why would I be worried? I'm not the one who's confused about what he likes.

Your actually expressed desire for women? I'm not the one who's changed in this arena. You have and you're trying to sell people on the concept that people do not change over time.

                      Erm? Who is being punished?
Lots of people. Chris Kempling is just one person. If you aren't politically correct, you will punish people. It's happened before and continues to happen.

Funny how if slavery is ended, people work half the year for someone else and have no say in the matter. But let's not ask inconvenient questions.

No that would be the word that the brits love to use to express when they suck on a cancer stick.

Why should the 99 percent change to accommodate the 1 percent? Makes no sense at all. If you folks are so dedicated to one another, as you claim, then why should your relationship be impacted by a word?

Again, what exactly do you need to accommodate? If I get married to my partner, it doesn't affect the happily married heterosexual family next door.

Why would I be worried? I'm not the one who's confused about what he likes.
Your obsession with denying gays equal rights says otherwise. I know what I like, and I get what I like very frequently. Et tu, Ben?

If I dug women, I wouldn't repress it. I'd go for it. I'd have 3 ways. The more the merrier.

I'm about as unrepressed as you can get sexually, Ben. You, on the other hand, are a sexually insecure 30 year old virgin. This is no contest.

How the **** did gay marriage punish Chris Kempling?

Huh? What the **** are you talking about? You can quit whenever you feel like it. Well, if you were valuable to society you could. People like you don't have a lot of options. This isn't society's fault, it's yours.

PS: You sound like a pinko commie.

Which is circular logic. That was easy.
How is it circular logic if your argument isn't?

In what definition is marriage between a man or a woman? Not in Canada, not in most Canadian churches. Not in many US churches and not in 6 US states. It seems patently obvious that there is no "one definition of marriage".

No that would be the word that the brits love to use to express when they suck on a cancer stick.
Nope. "Gay" is pretty much the most commonly used insult for any child between the ages of 8 and 20, and any Christian between the ages of 2 and 99.

If marriage is something other than a partnership of love, then yes...you need to find another construct. A marriage is not a contract to make a baby and raise a child. We don't force people to divorce when they become infertile.
