  • I was in speech therapy, for about a school year, because I pronounced s and r wrong.

    • I saw an interesting theory once that said the percentage of homosexuals in the population has gone up in proportion to LSD use. I don't know if that's true like the pirate global warming thing but it is kind of a neat idea.

God damn. Yeah your speech was ****ed. Like I said, I couldn't pronounce ch-, sh-, -th, and r which is pretty debilitating as an English speaker but I was only in speech for a school year. They fixed me up pretty quickly.

          • I posted because I thought this was about people not giving proper recognition to Gay/Lesbian and Transgendered community members and about the overlooked plight for what this group of citizens goes through, although many try to skim over the issues of what many see happening.

Now, I see this is yet another segway conversation, so kind of going offtrack, kinda reminds me of old times here.

Take care, looking to get back on track and being in defesne of what the issues are, hatred of a people group.

This is Horrendous, and when you read the accounts of those that suppossedly defend our cities for our citizens, well, makes one sick to be associated with them.

Unfortunatley, many clubs/establishments for the G/L/TG community were often in older Warehouse (Richmond VA) and Washington DC in the mid to late 1980's.

Then many clubs were DC such as at DuPont Circle and then down at 5th and K that were 3 story and would have also been subject to such attrocities should they have been targeted. La Cage Aux Follies I believe near South Capitol and maybe Half street had one of the better setup clubs but was in an otherwise deserted area.

Let me ask you, besides Children of a Lesser God are there any other movies that you may have seen that talk about this at all?

Rather more than I have seen about, for example, arthritis or athlete's foot.

What were you expecting? A movie franchise like the Friday 13th films?

Yeah and the genesis of the killer was because he was deaf and picked on in school like some sort of deaf Carrie situation.

So the deadliest gay "massacre" in US history was only one-third as deadly as the fourth deadliest nightclub fire in US history and around one-fifth as deadly as the worst massacres of black folk and Native Americans in US history.

Hey so the Rwandan "genocide" was only about 1/10th as deadly as the Holocaust...

A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

That pretty much every group in America has experienced a tragedy as bad as the UpStairs Lounge arson attack, and several have suffered far worse. No group has had it "easy" in America, if we follow your logic.
