I would suggest not starting with just this material, though. It's filled with a lot of jargon, and the mythology of the "pickup" community does affect it to some extent, even if most of the fundamentals are sound. A more general understanding of body language could help a lot more. I recommend "The Definitive Book of Body Language" by Barbara and Allan Pease. It's very, very good. (You can easily find it on a number of torrent sites; for obvious reasons, I provide no links.)

Well the woman who I asked to go to Lucky Strikes with, she never called me back. This is uncharacteristic of her to not call me for several days. I guess my asking her out has had the usual effect... now she's freaked out and doesn't want anything to do with me.

That's something else I don't get... not just the rejection but the absolute avoidance that follows it. Like, okay, you don't want to go out with me and you just want to stay friends... well why is it the first thing you do is not answer my calls, unfriend me from facebook, etc.? Am I that ****ing disgusting to these women that the thought of me having had any interest in them repulses them?

As an aside, on that Roissy blog that Aneeshm and Heraclitus like, there's an annotated video of Robbie Williams performing and it's amazing to see how he plays a crowd like a pickup artist would ideally play a woman... That video would be invaluable to any performing artist. I got to say that, as well as being a hell of an artist, Robbie Williams intuitively knows how to be appealing.
