Right, because gay people don't do charity. No, you won't see gay people giving money and time to charities, sure...

Your hatred for gay people would be astonishing, if it wasn't so predictable now. Congratulations, you've lived up to everyone's expectations that you'd say hateful things about gays.

The West itself is dying. Oh, be sure Boris, when you are pushing up daisies the Church will still be there much as before. What then will the hate accomplish other than hurting you?
Not more of this "The West is dying!" baloney. No, it isn't. What's dying is your ideal world where gays could be treated like filth with impunity, where women were cattle, where minorities were kept down and where religious institutions held sway over people through fear and torture and coercion. Yes, that world is dying. Good riddance.

I wasn't trying to create hysteria - I thought that the article I quoted in OP was reasonably accurate. As I already told Ozzy earlier, I had to eat my words.

And as for more of the **** others have quoted BK saying. Every gay community I've visited, or been involved with, where I've lived, there were and are gays and lesbians inolved with charities that concerned the broader community, not just community services for those in need within the gay community.

      BK can go **** himself.

Caesar can do so by giving it directly to the needy and cutting out the meddlesome middleman church that wants to take government payouts without adhering to the law.

Heck, that way, more money would likely reach those who need it, since it won't go to the "administrative costs" of the church (i.e. fancy dresses for their poobahs).

Why is it that religious reactionaries such as yourself object to welfare for poor people, but seem to think welfare for Churches is A-OK? Utter hypocrisy.

This is a case of not sticking to principles. As I told BK, Christ didn't deny food to the sinners in the multitude. It's a sin to ignore the cries of the poor.

Where is the church denying food to sinners?

Have you even read the thread?

The gay people are upset because the church won't hire them to distribute the food and give them a paycheque, not because they are turning gay people away.

So why are these gay activists hurting the poor? They should pay out of their own pockets to make up the shortfall.

Oh wait, it's because they want to be in charge of distributing everything and drawing paycheques from the state. I see.

So once again, it's all about you.

It's obvious that the church is using their status as charity provider to influence equal rights policies. In other words, equal rights means no charity.

Anyway, how is it God's will not to hire sinners?

I never said that. They give to charities all the time. AIDS research foundations. GALA stuff, etc.

The difference is you don't see me trying to take money away from causes that gay people like. That's the difference, whereas you are all in favour of taking money away from the Catholic church because you don't like it at all.

Your hatred for gay people would be astonishing, if it wasn't so predictable now. Congratulations, you've lived up to everyone's expectations that you'd say hateful things about gays.
Oh? So it's a bad thing that you hate the Catholic church, or is hate only bad when it's the other person?

Wow, such bitterness. Look Boris, you can either make your peace with the church or you can continue to rage with bile, as you do here. The Church is going to be there long after you pass away. What are you going to do, huff and puff and blow the chapel down? Good luck!

                  • It's obvious that the church is using their status as charity provider to influence equal rights policies.
How so? They've merely argued that they should be given a conscience exemption so that they can continue to do their good works, and that the policy has a neutral effect on their charities.

Anyway, how is it God's will not to hire sinners?
Repentant sinners, Kid. If a gay person were to repent of their sins and profess that homosexuality was sinful and that they were wrong to have indulged in the behaviour, the Church would likely hire them. The Church is careful and reluctant to hire anyone that they don't have a good idea where they stand, for the simple reason that they will be held responsible for anything untoward that occurs under their watch.

I'm completely in favour of them excluding any and all unrepentant sinners, including, but not limited to gay people. It's not really about gay people at all, but about sin. The state wants them to approve sin and put a stamp on it, and provide benefits and accommodation. The Church would rather be persecuted than deny Christ.

This is no different than in ancient times when Christians were forced to swear an oath to the Emperor and perform sacrifices honouring his divinity. We did not do so then, and we will not do so now.

                      • How about a real argument about why it's appropriate for the Catholic Church to hoard such unbelieavable wealth that it chooses to display in such ostentatious ways?
Six days before the Passover, Jesus arrived at Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. Here a dinner was given in Jesus' honor. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, "Why wasn't this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year's wages."

He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

"Leave her alone," Jesus replied. " It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial. You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me."
Judas Iscariot has many disciples today, some of whom still walk among us.

This is nonsense. Catholics sin too, and they don't always repent. Often times their hypocrits. I think if you don't want to hire anyone but Catholics you're going to have a hard time with your business, someone else should be given the job.

Why should someone else who is a sinner be given the job Kidicious? Explain that one to me, I'm curious.

As it is Christ even says, the harvest is many, but the workers are few. You think this is something new? Better to have a good and faithful servant than many who cause others to stumble by flaunting their own sin.
