  • In the pic you see my wall with the waver and a meterish high poured wall built onto the outside of the waver. The question is, in the area of the wall outside the house do you want your meterish high wall built in the same place, at the end of the waver?

    Got some more pics...

    • Dolores is standing behind the meter high wall.

Sho needs to know because they're about to put the metal bar. This is how it will go if you go with the end of the waver option. You can have it anywhere you want on the waver. The meterish high wall within the house will go on top of the tie beam and between the posts.

        • On our walk down to your place there are flowers in bloom...

The waver forms are done. Today they were working on the facing forms on which they sit. They do 16' at a go then let it dry a bit and remove the forms for use on the next 16' stretch.

          • Meanwhile the laborers are toting gravel up that will be used in the facing/waver pour. I told them I'd like all beach gravel for this pour, its tougher and in a position to be hammered by waves.

I believe you're saying that the outside edge wall of the house will be directly in line with the outside edge the seawall. That's the way I want it. (Remember, we're going to have Tito's decorative pillars outside the house, and they can sit on the waver.)

On the non-house portion of the wall, the meter-high wall should line up with the wall of the house; that is, NOT out on the waver. (I'm wondering if we shouldn't slant the top of it to discourage wee ones like James and Jasmine from climbing out on it.)

On Post #3, I thought we were going to knock it down before it completely hardened. I think I see it still standing. What gives?

                • Ok on the waver question. So do you want the top of the waver angled...they can angle it later but the surface is better prepared for more cement. Just angled outside the house? Inside the angle would mess with the decorative posts.

On the post #3 I figured that they only have to take off the top, not so bad as I first thought. What gives is that you haven't been on site yet since all this work has been done and things might change when you are and that post once it has the top KOed would never be the same rebuilt. Also, I described everything you wanted to Sho and asked him to talk to Tito about it as you requested, in Visayan and he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Remember there is a question about the span between the posts #2 & #4. I'll follow up on that now that I'm feeling better. Don't know if it slipped Sho's mind with the limestone fill and waver and circumderence wall on his list or if Tito hasn't answered. The house is on full stop so it isn't urgent and if we just waited you could personally be in on the discussion with Tito...

                  • Angle the top of the waver just on the non-house part of the wall.

I wondered if you were sick. You hadn't been posting much lately. Good to have you up and around again.

                    • Clemente ran me out to the site to explain your angle instruction to Sho. Told him to put a 45 degree angle on top of the waver outside of the house. While there the guys were putting the metal bar and waver form on and I have some pics...

                      • The wood is placed to support the form so that when the cement is poured the added weight doesn't collapse it.
