True. My land is owned by Dolores, Lance's wife. I have a lease with her for the rest of my life...at quite reasonable rates, I must say.

Foreigners are allowed to buy condos.

            Congrats on your retirement, Z.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. When the lawyer read the part in our lease about it being until my death, Dolores threw her arms around me and wailed, "Zkribbler, you can't die!!"

When you die, does the house revert to the landowner?

The house is leased, not owned, so I imagine the lease just terminates?

Yes, that's the way we wrote the lease. Dolores gets her land back, plus the house.

                              It's perfect.

Anyway, all the playing in the gravel is done and today they pour some of the posts so I'm off to the fun with my camera.
