          • You mean how the Democrats are winning seats in both?
Not true. Given the 51 percent mandate, I'm thinking Carter.
Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

Good luck. I remember how awesome LBJ was for the nation...
Ben, some of us were actually old enough in 1964 to remember it.

You rolled your eyes claiming it was still mathematically possible for McCain to win. Ming quoted it. That is only possible if California voted for McCain. Yes, no matter how much you deny or spin you were claiming it was possible for California to vote for McCain.

                • Well it's the first time I ever even came remotely close to voting for a Democrat .... and I did.

Congrats to Obama. Please Please Please don't make me regret my vote.

History was made tonight. The disassembling of the known power structures will commence. You won't like the end result.
                    I tend to agree.

I can't feel anything but sorrow for McCain. I think you've let down an incredible person for a bag of peanuts and a rather hollow promise for change.

Many people have put a lot of hope in a new, very inexperienced candidate, who knew to well how to market himself to the general public.

I only hope he doesn't fail your country. If someone can come from nowhere and sweep a huge nation off its feet, he must have something good to offer. So good luck Obama.

I'm also amazed, a second time, by your odd electoral system.

Elections are decided in 4 large states. This is while the popular vote has Obama leading by mere 51% vs. 48% for McCain. By this vote, it's nothing near land-slide, and McCain could have had a fighting chance.
But then again, we've seen how the popular vote helped Al Gore.

I think you should review your political system, at least in that sense.

                    edit: rephrased weird sentence.

The guy's a douche. I had respect for him until he picked Palin. Then it was all downhill from there. His campaign was despicable.
The right man won. Get over it.

Is this sarcasm, since Gore won the popular vote?
