  • You're missing Indiana.
No, I'm not. MO to McCain and IN to Obama is 364-174. Changes to 365-173 if Omaha goes for Obama.

Oops, right. I'd accidentally clicked TN to blue on the map.

        Oh yes,
the last 2-3 weeks saw the religious right getting more and more desperate
Obviously it dawned to them that McCain together with their fundamentalist champion Sarah Palin wouldn´t make it

Actually the opposite. Looks like Coleman pulled it out (according to the Washington Post and the AP), but an auto recount in the works.

                • Assuming NC holds up:

                  Obama 364
                  McCain 173

Nebraska's 2nd CD EV still outstanding, but likely blue.

Yup. Not a surprise. I would have enjoyed seeing Franken in the Senate, though.

Yeah, the remaining precincts around St Paul must have been from a more Republican area because Coleman and Franken split the vote pretty evenly there.

Assuming the Senate drums his ass out, which they probably will, what is the replacement procedure in Alaska? Every state is different (I think)... does the Governor have the right to appoint a replacement(), or do they have a new election, or what?

                          • Well the MN results make me happy (as do the Oregon ones so far), as I do enjoy seeing moderate Republicans win, especially over far left loonies like Franken. And it presents 60 in the Senate for the Dems .

what is the replacement procedure in Alaska

I think the Governor picks a replacement.
