I'm worried about Israel more than the US. Interested to see if Obama moves back to the radical left. If he does then Israel might have a tough road ahead.

Time for them to **** off and figure it out on their own. It's not our mess.

Ben, some of us were actually old enough in 1964 to remember it.
LBJ was one of the best Presidents of the 20th century. He halved the poverty rate in America, there were half as many people living in poverty due to him, and we should never forget that. Just as we should never forget that it was his hard work which got the voting rights act passed insuring black people were assured of their constitutional rights. Yes, he declined to run for a second term because Vietnam was so unpopular but he was a visionary and an extraordinarily effective President.
MSNBC is reporting that black groups are currently, even at this late hour of the night, holding prayer vigils on LBJ's old ranch in Texas. They are thanking him for supporting civil rights and for making tonight's victory possible.

The guy's a douche. I had respect for him until he picked Palin. Then it was all downhill from there. His campaign was despicable.
The right man won. Get over it.
He took a giant risk and I respect actually.
He hoped to regain the far right, and to bring some mavericky voodoo, since she's supposedly a reformer and so on and so forth.
His campaign was somewhat more dirty, but it was the appropriate campaign for a person in his position. His major points are indeed true. Reverend Wright is a despicable git whose ties to Obama raise suspicion about his image vs. his real views. Obama really is inexperienced and a muslim. Ok just kidding. He's inexperienced though.
Also you have to remember I don't actually see most of the campaign dirt-throwing stuff. Anything I get is something I've actively searched for on the internet, so I have a partial image.
I'm also amazed, a second time, by your odd electoral system.
Elections are decided in 4 large states. This is while the popular vote has Obama leading by mere 51% vs. 48% for McCain. By this vote, it's nothing near land-slide, and McCain could have had a fighting chance.
But then again, we've seen how the popular vote helped Al Gore.
I think you should review your political system, at least in that sense.
Actually the electoral system gives more power to small states than they would otherwise have in a pure popular vote.
Alaska, Wyoming, Vermont and District of Columbia combined make up less than 1% of the population (popular vote) but have 2.25% of the electoral vote.
Without an electoral college high population states and even more importantly select metro areas would have a much more significant influence on the election than they do now.
