Most important job in the restaurant (seen it, been there, bought the T-shirt) and quite often the hardest spot to fill ( with anyone half decent). I'd hire the guy on the spot.

Hard to fill, yeah, but most important? We only say that so they don't feel so bad making minimum wage.

I've done a few services without one or with a really ****ty one and damn.... did I miss the guy who just left ( Yes, I am more important than he is but doing cuttlery while doing a full service, isn't really an ideal situation.... )

Likewise, but we've done countless nights without a dishwasher, the busboys doing most of the washing. Its doable. A night without a cook or a waitress though, then you fall apart.

Haven't worked as a dishwasher but I did work as a delivery driver for several summers.

What the hell is ol' Vayner up to anyhow? Maybe he by now he is desperate enough to take a dishwashing job, and New Haven CT isn't that far from Montreal. Drop him a line and see what happens; at least you'll know that if a dirty bomb is set in the kitchen, you'll have someone certified to handle nuclear waste.
                        Unbelievable!

He'd probably spend more on gas to get up here than he could make all summer.
