Jobs for history grads

No problem. The thought of you educating the youth of America is a little scary, so I figure if I can steer you into insurance...

What I do is specialty stuff - I work for a very large company (~30,000 employees) and there are ~30 people who do my job (myself included)... maybe 100-150 if you define it a little broadly. But there are other positions that require the same basic skillset. History majors are everywhere, and most of 'em aren't flippin' burgers.

I thought if you had certain specified bio and chem courses, you could major in ANYTHING and go to med school. Just that it was a lot easier to get those courses in if you majored in bio or chem.

Some are better than others, that's true. But it's almost universal in the US that public schoolteachers are underpaid.

In Canada they are cutting back on teaching positions.
