I remember there was a time in the past when this was kind of in the air, this whole getting the degree done thing. Glad to see you're really close now!
You are one of the folks who knows me from before.

You are also the first non-punk here to say congrats.

Thanks Pekka. Let me know when you are all finished up because I remember a time when all this was up in the air for you too

Gonna have a big party with friends and all. Just gonna miss the ones who can't come.

Maybe I'll sell my body to save up for a business degree.
I could always use a house slave. Let me know if you don't mind the no-clothing policy in my apartment.

My friend of mine has a history degree and landed a very nice restoration project internship. She has worked in the White House as one job even. It pays well. The only problem is that all the good jobs are very competitive. She now works at Starbucks. She had a 4.0 too.

My school even has a very respected history major yet I haven't heard of anyone that didn't double major in something more useful get anything good.

Honestly, I would try and look for a job that pays on commission if I were you. Or join the army

Oh, Jane Moe, thanks, I'll call her. May I use your name? Thanks"

"Hello, may I speak to Ms Jane Moe? I was referred to her by Joe Smith"

"Hello, Ms Moe, My name is Ben Kenobi, Im a history student at Univ of Z, and Joe Smith said you could give me some ideas about my job search."

"Yes, I understand you dont have any openings, Im really looking for some advice and suggestions. Ok. Yes, Joe is doing fine, really enjoying his retirement. No, Ive never met his wife - I used to work with him doing research at his firm. thats really what i wanted to ask about. Im really interested in doing research at a law firm - i think it would be a good use for my degree - but I dont know what firms are interested in, if my degree is really helpful, or not. uh huh. Actually since im looking in city X mainly, it would be especially helpful if you know of someone in city X i could speak with. ....

Good point. Anyone could come up with Intelligent Design. You don't need a degree for that. Just an imagination.

What happens if you come across 2 unidentified female bodies together? Are they both Jane Doe or is there a Joan Doe?

True, but the popularity stuff varies from school to school.

To be fair, you're captain of the twit team and I don't think you even passed grade 11 math.

Stop threadjacking - this is supposed to be the 344th argument about how worthless liberal arts degrees are.
