I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

    • Not surprising. The media here in Canada didn't pick it up for quite a while. I guess they just don't give it much importance.

Possibly they fear racism charges by showing 'back to back to back' unpleasant scenes involving discriminated minorities?

      New Orleans-Birmingham-Paris-Arhus?

It is also kind of 'same same' and perhaps they fear viewers would be bored and not get ratings, after all if you've seen one rioting crowd you've seen 'em all.

You know about the recent (relatively low-key) riots in Ã…rhus?

        I'm truely baffled.

There was a totally dement link some pages ago that extremely exaggerated the events in Rosenhøj - claimed it was a no-go area for police etc. The fact is that a pizzaria and some other bouildings has been damaged by fire, that the locals are very pissed on the purpetraitors and that the police are going there at will - even with the cheers of common people in the area.

No offense Seeker, but don't belive all that you read on the net

          • Ah, thanks for clearing it up.

I'm withholding judgement on the situation in Ã…rhus though. You got some pretty radical statements from some of the youths in the aftermath, I'm sure you noticed.

Let's hope my reservations will prove to be unfounded.

            • They should do what I proposed. The rioters are screaming war. Bring war. Give them what they want. Shoot few of them. Not necessarily to kill but hey if someone dies, better make sure it's done by professionals.

In most US cities if attempt to hit people by throwing bottles at them your photograph will be taken and undercover police will either get you or if you are later found you will be arrested for assault. This is a routine practice during demostrations and one of the reasons why demostrations need to have a licence (easy to get licence but still a licence) is so police can be on site in the necissary force and with the needed equipment encase things get out of hand.

This is also common at big public rallies and such.

                  • There are actually some funny moments reading this thread. Yanks are calling europe a third world area because of the riots despite the fact that US have had similiar riots. It gets even funnier when they propose solutions. Most eouropean police has a nonviolent approach to problems but are quite capapable to use violence if that is nesseacary - still the good advice from US is the mthods they use - allowing civilians to use firearms at will and not expect the law to find a solution.

Why is it that the US way looks quite more the way such problems are "solved" in third world countries ?

                    • I remember the LA riots. I think they top the Euro riots thus far. So, we are in the same situation in this matter in my eyes.

                          1. We got this little intrest group called the NRA that screams bloody murder every time someone wants to take the guns off the streets.

                          2. It seems like many inner city cops are racist bastards (*points to Rodney King beating*).

Clearly you are ignorant. I haven't seen any of the main participants suggest Europe was a third world country so please stop trolling. Next, no one has suggested firearms be used at will however people have suggested that citizens have a right to defend their property. If you won't acknowledge that distinction, dispite it being very clearly made numerous times, then what does that say about you?

                              • When I read all the BS posted on the Internet by people trying to justify any kind of criminal conduct in the name of freedom of speech and personal rights I almost wish Europe truly becomes a muslim caliphate so the people supporting all of this will finally learn something.

These riots are not about angry minorities or poor living standards. These are both muslim immigrants and 2nd/3rd generation french muslims rioting as they do not accept to integrate themselves and blame the government for creating themselves islamic ghettoes inside european major cities, where police and non-muslims are supposed to stay away from.

For you that have no idea what muslim ghettoes are like, these are entire sectors of a city where a european woman walk into alone without facing a serious risk of being gang-raped, as to them every woman in the world which is not muslim is a whore. Well, I say there's something wrong with some muslims living in Europe nowadays, and if people and politicians don't start paying attention to this, people like Le Pen will eventually take power one day.

BTW Le Pen gotten the majority of his votes in french cities where muslims are present in large numbers, as Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, Montpellier, Nice and Lyon. Either these are fascist cities or those voters obviously have a problem with the local muslim communities.

And don't come up with the racist racist crap. I'm gay and 2nd generation immigrant myself.
