which is the more empowering... what do you think the phrase 'the pants in the relationship' mean?)
    Imran,
No. Empowerment is more about personal attitude than what you are wearing. Women can be submissive in jeans, and empowered in skirts.

Two attempted invasions of Texas during the war were soundly defeated, the later one, in the Rio Grande Area, sotime after Lee's surrender. At the earlier, on the Sabine River estuary, Lt Dick (Darling) Dowling with less than 200 (Less than 100?) men repulsed a Union fleet with 5000 troops.

What, pray tell, would be the point of stipulating one must wear pantyhose while wearing a pant suit?

That's like a man wearing a belt AND suspenders.

To make them wear socks. Are women told to wear skirts based on that part of the dress code?

Also in cases were there is no client or special event, 'neat and professional' is all that is required.

PS: Stop messing these things up with facts .
Imran, you know nothing about how women dress do you? Nor, obviously, their love for pantyhose.

The pantyhose requirement, as I'm sure has already been pointed out to you (I haven't read the responses past this one) implies rather strongly that the women will be in skirts and/or dresses. Show me a woman who wears pantyhose in pants, and I'll show you a woman who likes to suffer.

I do that when hunting or carrying tools. The suspenders are for holding pants up. The belt is for carrying holsters, sheaths, tools pouches.

I heard that there are Southerners who can drink a glass of Tobasco sauce.

                    Is this true, or folklore?

                    • The statement could indicate that if women are wearing skirts or dresses, then they need pantyhose on, acknowledging that most women (at the time of enactment) wore dresses to work. Doesn't imply requirement of dresses unless practice mandates it.

Also it could be an antiquated part of the dress code. Does the practice of the company require dresses for these meetings? If it does, then it is wrong.

Boris, you can have at 'em.

Btw, I just called my wife and asked her if it is "normal" to wear panty hose with pant suits. She asked "where did you get that idea?"

No, Imran, you are mistaking the whine of "I don't wanna!" with the cry of "It's wrong."

                            • Sometimes 'I don't wanna' is 'It's wrong'. Unless you think blacks saying 'I don't wanna' to sitting in the back of the bus was right?
