I would say that some of the re-emergence of "white-pride" is in direct response to the emergence of "black-pride" and its PC correctness. Personally, I think being proud (or not) because of your skin colour is a crock.

Maybe, but white pride is only espoused by whites on the losing end of the economic spectrum. Bill Gates and Donald Trump certainly have no need for white pride. Jimbo Bob Bubba who didn't pay attention in school and works at the local BK has to blame someone for his troubles.

just as most blacks involved with black pride have to blame someone for their troubles. Dont you think supporters of black pride are mostly from the losing end of the economic spectrum too?

Sorry your question makes no sense in the light of previous posts (CG's comment, my response, your question, my response). I dont know what drove clan membership 1900-1950. A reasonable guess is racist attitudes. Lets not fail to note that the largest clan membership in those days (and probably still is) was in Ohio not the southern states. As I understand it though, membership in white extremist groups is on the rise (i.e. re-emerging). IMO its a response to some of the PC correctness and extremist views of "black-pride". You are aware of the emergence of the "new black panthers". A very subtle bunch, get your fire extinguishers ready.


As for the number of carpetbaggers that were killed by the KKK, I dont know. Hopefully a whole bunch.
