    • AND, you both are virgins.
Diss, you say you like video games more that sex because you dont have the opportunity to get laid. If you had, you would choose sex first in a sec.
Also, not having sex regularly is something you bring up often, and it seams to mean so much to you that you often put yourself down thinking about it, which makes you lose self-confidence, which is also something you mention often about yourself
AFAIK, Dissident isn't a virgin. AS on the other hand is. I don't see how being a virgin has anything to do with a lack of a sex drive.

Now, trying to compensate for that, you are trying to tell your self that YES in fact you do like video games better than sex to, in a way, make your self beleive that you are "inactive" by choice and not because you are not "lucky" or whatever.
An interesting theory, but it doesn't wash with those who would rather be with a girl, but choose to wait.

      • One thing that I do think makes sense is the connection between seeing sex as a chore, and treating it like just another recreational activity.

I'd say you are wrong. The controlling factor is the amount of sex with the same partner; that means married fundie couples can still get bored in the bedroom. Those guys' problems, like many couples who have dated for a while, is the lack of variety to keep things interesting.

They need to try some role playing, go on a romantic vacation, buy a few toys, do it in new and interesting locations, believe it or not talking more helps too, as does not just doing it for 5 minutes right before bed. Don't be boring and predictable and your partner won't be bored with you.

            • That's why I like the fact that my, err... partner... lives a hundred and thirty miles away. Can't possibly have sex every night before bed!

              • You need someone closer if you really want to be happy. Just make sure you don't get boring.

                • I found someone closer. My bestfriend! That would have worked perfectly. But for some reason, she didn't seem to agree...

Edit: Hmm... that sounds an awful lot like I tried to cheat on my girlfriend with my bestfriend. Well, I didn't. But my ex-girlfriend sure as hell thought I tried to. And I don't know if she was wrong or not. Anyways.... /threadjack.

I agree, but a contributing factor to the boredom is treating this as just a recreational activity, to do when there is nothing better to do.

And I find it interesting, that Flubber, with a kid, does not find it as boring as those without.

believe it or not talking more helps too
For both of you! Stir the pot a little.

I guess it's true that those who go without want the most while those who have plenty...

Still, I'd bet the rate of sexual bordom isn't all that much different between nonmarried but sexually active people and married people. I doubt there is much of a difference at all but if there is a small difference the people with new partners (i.e. the nonmarried ones) are probably less bored.

ahh, but the saying goes: women can sense desperation.

I figure the more I ignore them. The better chances of me getting a girlfriend. So for now, I'm concentrating on computer games.

                              I can't disagree with that.

As for the difference between married and unmarried partners, I'll bet it's more enjoyable with the married partners, just because they usually have to wait before they get to enjoy things, and then afterwards, you can start to get good with each other.

I really think there's something to be said for anticipation.

That's for sure. I can remember more than one bumpy bus ride on the way to school as an exquisite combination of pleasure and embarassment....
