I'm in a similar situation to cybershy.

Can't vote for Bush, but if I could, I would.

I voted Walt Brown, Socialist Party.

Che, you are part of the problem.

Everyone knows Walt Brown is a closet Trotskyist.

Actually, he's rather anti-Trotskyist. Being the Trot I am, I was rather annoyed by some of his comments.

You'd vote for an unreconstructed racist who wants to restore the Confederacy!?! Damn, I'm glad you can't vote.

                      It depends on the state.

By way of ID they just checked to see if my signature matched the one on my voter registration.

Edit: Come to think of it, I did have my "civil service" badge on at the time as well.

If I could vote I would vote for Bush, if figure four more years of the US ****ing itself is probably good for the rest of the planet (well most of it!) in the long run...

What? Oh sorry - that's just me being nasty. If I lived in the US it would be Kerry. On domestic policies alone, you'd be a mug not to - hence my previous comments...

My g/f did the right thing and voted Kerry on her postal ballot for Florida - she couldn't be bothered but I kept badgering her to do it.

So perhaps I did vote in the US elections after all...
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

and you people are arguing that you have real elections going there?

I think most states are like mine, Virginia. You have to register to vote prior to the election. When you show up to vote, you must present photo ID.
                              Haven't been here for ages....

Not in my state, no. In Illinois, I wasn't required to show ID. They check your name off a list, and you go vote.
