Illinois' procedure for getting a ballot has been consistent for the past several elections -- you give them your name, they find your info and rip your profile page out of the book.

You sign the page. If the signature matches, you get a ballot.

I always have my ID and voter registration card ready,
but... they... don't... ask... for... them...

Forgery experts could vote as much as they wished. Fortunately, they are in the minority.

Don't know for the US, but in Norway, you can vote in advance if you want. What is it to explain?

The advance ballot is relatively new. Like an absentee ballot, but no proof of other location is needed.
          Primarily a convenience AFAIK.

            I voted for Badnarik.

There was no line at all at the polling place. I went in the middle of the day so there was no one there. Maybe 5 voters in the whole place. No line at all.

And I got a call from my mom just now as I was typing this out, and I am shocked to hear how my parents voted. My mom usually votes Democrat and my dad usually votes Republican. At the last minute my mom decided to vote for Badnarik and my dad decided to vote Kerry. but

Maryland Ballot only had the top 4

I would have voted for Brown if he had been on it

You see -- 16 year olds who are saying they should have right to vote cannot even spell.

                          • I can vote and I'm 23, so obviously everyone over 22 shouldn't be allowed to vote.

                            • I'm the Republican Party's worst nightmare: I'm a registered Republican who voted for Bush last time, but this time I voted for Kerry. Oh, and I live in a battleground state, albeit a small one, New Hampshire.
