Your posts are refreshing sometimes. So many conservatives try to BS all the time.
Well it's fairly obvious that given how jittery the oil market is that violence in Venezuala by the opposition given that they appear to have lost will send prices even higher. That isn't good for the incumbent this close to an election.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Chavez did win by a big margin and should thus remain as the rightful president of Venezuela, but the fact that the opposition managed to get 40% of the vote shows that not only the hardcore "filthy rich" voted against him but that other sectors of society have legitimate concerns that should be addressed in a reasonable manner and not shoddily dismissed, if internal peace is to last.
I don't think Chavez cares now that he has his mandate.

Well, being democratic in the modern sense of the term is understood to be much more than just blindly accepting the will of the majority. Chavez claims to be democratic, therefore he should take this into account, even if he has the mandate to continue with his reforms.

Well Bush has the benefit of not tanking the economy to the extent Chavez has.
