Clearly the portable numbers aren't available.
What's amazing is the difference in software..."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

dunno, but look in the small print - top 15 titles. If a platform has lots of smaller titles, but few AAA titles, it will look small there (assuming that is top 15 for each platform)"A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. The main thing to get from that graph isn't just the raw numbers (in which MS wins), it's the health of the software ecosystem. Looking at that graph, it should be clear to everyone (including people who don't know much about the market) which system is healthier in terms of software.
Looking at those kinds of stats -- as publishers do -- which platform is most enticing?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

That would give you 3.25. Not stellar (correct?), not like the 360, but is it really that disappointing for Nintendo?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. I didn't realize the PS3 and Wii were doing that badly.
A lot of people have said they'd like to see Nintendo go the away of SEGA by focusing solely on software. I think this might be a good idea. IMO, they should have stopped at the GameCube, or possibly N64. Not so much from a business sense, but from a gamers perspective. They've got a number of great franchises, but unfortunately it seems their actual console restricts what they could do with the game. So many GameCube/Wii games would have benefited greatly from the online functionality MS has pushed, or 360-level graphics. (I'd have much rather played a 360 version. The Wii controls provided nothing.

Given teh gross profit headstart given by teh HW, and teh fact that most of their attach is driven by 1P SW (with correspondingly higher revenue per game), they're doing quite well financially - the equivalent of selling teh HW at break-even with a 3P attach of ~10.THEY!!111 OMG WTF LOL LET DA NOMADS AND TEH S3D3NTARY PEOPLA BOTH MAEK BITER AXP3REINCES

Indeed you did.
Nintendo are causing me a bit a dilemma - I don't want to miss out on SMG and a couple of others, but there's no strength in depth and I'm too tight to buy the console just for them.
But it's going to be a decent wait till the next console, and they might decide to ditch BC and start afresh.
