ISTR seeing a rumour that theyd do some kind of upgrade, a Wii 1.5 kind of thing, that would improve graphics moderately (to keep it selling as HD becomes more widespread). Pardon my not knowing the technical terms. I dont know that that would be different enough to make a retooled factory useless, but it might at least account for them not wanting to build up inventory.

I don't know why they didn't include 360+PS3, but anyway I guess just from pure sales alone the Wii was probably the biggest tech-hardware hit of 2007 and looks strong for 2008?

I still don't want one....but if they made it 100% backwards compatible with GC, and maybe made a GBA+DS player for it then i'd start to get interested......maybe.

The Halo 3 map pack is getting me back into it after taking a break for Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, and (distant third) actually doing my schoolwork. It's DLing at 6 MB/s right now

edit: oh, and the Halo 3 Soundtrack is excellent, even better than the previous two.

So what was the verdict on Assassin's Creed? Rent it or borrow it, rather than buy it?

I'm glad I bought it. I've done three assassination missions so far, and it was pretty fun doing all of the different investigations and generally exploring the cities, saving the citizens and getting the view points (towers you have to climb that let you extend your GPS map). Also, the overworld is pretty big and has a lot of people to fight.
