Whilst we are on the subject of top tier titles why has the X-Box 360 still only have one (Gears of War), with another not due until May (Forza 2). I'm not trolling - I actually want to know.
Oblivion is considered a top-tier title any way you look at it...sales, reviews, etc,
GRAW and CoD2 also scored 90%+ averages and are massively popular.
Not sure why this is a complaint, as it's more quality titles than the PS2 or Gamecube had in the comparable times. And Wii doesn't look to improve on that.
The upcoming year in particular is going to be incredible for "top tier' game releases:
May - Forza 2
June - Bioshock
July - Mass Effect / Too Human
Aug - Blue Dragon
Sep - Halo 3
Oct - GTA 4
Nov/Dec - Assasin's Creed / Banjo / PGR4 / Lost Odyssey
Contrast this with the Wii's, please.

I think DrSpike was asking about exclusives, which most of the things you mentioned aren't. I see that as the inevitable trend, as companies are going to want to maximize their sales rather than pin their hopes on one console or another. Especially with the "Games for Windows" push, a lot of Xbox titles will be showing up on the PC sooner or later.
Wow, 14 minutes. Anyone else think Asher (fond of his tech) has rigged up a light above his PC that flashes every time someone says anything about the X-Box or Microsoft?
I don't know what GRAW is btw, but that list looks good. I might have to pick up an X-Box 360 if the prices are coming down in April like you claimed in OT.

They will, but they'll need $2000+ PCs to run it. Most Games for Windows games will require DX10 video cards and Vista soon, and Vista itself is almost as much as a 360...
As for my list and exclusivity:
May - Forza 2 [Exclusive]
June - Bioshock
July - Mass Effect [Exclusive] / Too Human [Exclusive]
Aug - Blue Dragon [Exclusive]
Sep - Halo 3 [Exclusive]
Oct - GTA 4
Nov/Dec - Assasin's Creed / Banjo [Exclusive] / PGR4 [Exclusive] / Lost Odyssey [Exclusive]

Ah, this sounds like an opportunity to post about bargain PCs, even though im not in the market for about the first time in two years.
so when you say Vista costs as much as a 360, are you counting Vista Home Basic, which comes on budget machines, and do you mean the the cheaper 360, not the premium?
Cause Circuit City is advertising an Emachines box with Vista HB for $300 (US) which ISTM is the same price as the Xbox 360 Premium. Granted that integrated graphics (224 MB shared memory) and i have no idea if it would run Oblivion, but it does speak to the Vista costs as much as a 360 assertion.

Exclusive for now. I think some of those will be losing that tag in the coming months
I strongly recommend you look at the publisher for most of those.
If they lose exclusivity, it'll be to the PC, which isn't a big deal? Hell, they even both fall under the Xbox Live umbrella now.

Why be such a douche?
$300 eMachines box will in no way offer a gaming experience to play Xbox 360-level games.

and nowhere did I say that they did. In fact I quite explicitly said they come with IG, and that they may not play Oblivion at all.
However if the OS alone is as expensive as a 360, as you earlier stated, then one would expect the cheapest Vista machine to be what, $500 at least? And a higher end one that could run Oblivion would be much more. However as we see, the entire market starts a couple of hundred dollars less than that.

A question alot of people would do well to contemplate.

Well, it's not a big deal per se, but to someone like me, who just invested in a nice computer, it just means I don't have to go spend an additional $600 odd dollars to enjoy some of those games. It's a good thing for everyone involved.
ah, the retail price of the full version. I see. Well its too bad M$ likes to screw people who buy its software.
However AFAIK you dont need the full version to play Oblivion (?) or even later games, and AFAICT they discount the OS so heavily to OEMs that its generally more economical to buy a new PC than to buy a new copy of the OS.
