Saving it. I didn't even begin to lower my taxes until 2011 or somewhere abouts then; I cut them a lot more in 2014.
(Oh, and BTW, I was legitimately offered the Casino with no U-Drive-By or anything, so therefore I figured it was just like any other business deal one might be given...)

Thats cool, I spent all of mine in the first 5 years. Did you get the freeway to go through?
In the meantime I've been doing some joyriding and joyflying around East Central, Blountberg, and Y City. Driving in East Central is a huge pain and is best avoided, as it involves getting out of alleys and side streets onto the one clogged main road.
Y City was fun to drive in, having wide avenues and freeways. Flying was enjoyable as well. The plot to cripple its industrial base turned out to have extremely high collateral damage due to the clustering of power plants and industry.
Blountberg was somewhere in between, with more roads but heavy traffic. Experiments suggest that a nuclear power plant explosion has the potential to take out the entire new commercial district.
Visit First Cultural Industries There are reasons why I believe mankind should live in cities and let nature reclaim all the villages with the exception of a few we keep on display as horrific reminders of rural life.-Starchild Meat eating and the dominance and force projected over animals that is acompanies it is a gateway or parallel to other prejudiced beliefs such as classism, misogyny, and even racism. -General Ludd
To Bubble Junction:
I added a new avenue from the Blount Manufacturing area, but you'll have to add a bridge to get to it; it's not imperative at this time.
I also added a subway connection near the existing road connection... if you hook that to your commercial districts, a lot of the middle class residents living near my downtown will take it to their jobs in your city, relieving congestion on the road connection.
Our rails also aren't hooking up, maybe you could take a look at that...
Well, from your save it looks like you made a second rail connection to Bubble Junction, and ignored the connection i made. (assuming you created the rail connection after loading my save)
Also, it seems i got a major edge reconciliation problem. I cannot get the avenue connection without doing the reconcile thing...but if i do that i'll end with -$45k and no power plants.
So untill i have the funds to reconcile (or my neighbours reconcile instead ) i can't accept any new connections.
<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running. Play Bumps! No, wait, play Slings!
Also remember to import all cities, not to just replace the file, or at least thats fixed my connection problems a couple of times.

Thanks to the road connections between me and EPW and Ludd, I had massive budget surpluses due to tolls on commuters, with this income, I was able to almost completely convert my dirty industry over to manufacturing, start zoning a new industrial district for high tech (anything else that tries to build there gets nuked), expanding my education system to include a new highschool, and starting in on the commercial district.
The only downisde of all this is that I have about half as many industrial jobs as I used to have.
This is the freeway connecting my city and Y city. As you can see dispite the 1000s of commuters coming from Y city, none of them make it to my city. Is this normal?
