Then nobody is that good. Alabama only beat Arkansas by 1 point. Oregon had trouble with Washington State. Florida State struggled with NC State. Ohio State lost to Virginia Tech. You can find examples of great teams struggling with bad teams in any season.

TCU still won. If you're going to drop a team because of a close win, then Florida State has no business being in the playoffs.

Florida State did that every week. Computer rankings have TCU at 2. Florida State around 14th, 15th. They haven't really played anyone and they haven't beaten anyone and struggled with mediocre teams. Bookies have them a TD down to Oregon.

SOME computer rankings have TCU at 2. Others have them at 4, and I found multiple sources that had them at 5.

I'm sure you will use the one that supports your position, but only a few of the MANY computer rankings have them at 2.

Sagarin is generally the most respected one that doesn't rely on coach polls. It's not like it's just some random poll that I started using when TCU was at 2.

The point is, just like any poll, the computer polls don't all agree. The results of the computer polls are based on the criteria used.... different criteria, different results. Most college football experts agree that the committee picked the right four teams for the championship this year. So while you are always welcome to your opinions, TCU just wasn't good enough this year. They may have won the battle with select computer rankings, but they didn't win the battle where it actually counted. They are simply playing in a bowl game this year, and are not involved in the championship.

The point is, just like any poll, the computer polls don't all agree.

BCS isn't a computer poll because it uses the Coaches poll.

ELO straight up relies on who beat whom - nothing more, nothing less. No special sauce, and that has TCU at 3.

My argument is that the polls that have TCU below Ohio State are the ones that use the Coaches poll, which has nothing to do with computers at all.

TCU was good enough this year. That's my point. They were excluded because of politics, not ability.

They are simply playing in a bowl game this year, and are not involved in the championship.

Says who? If they win and FSU loses, they will be co-national champions. Playoffs notwithstanding. Like in 2010 when they went undefeated all year.

No matter how many times you repeat it, the rest of the country will be calling the winner of the eventual ACTUAL championship game the champion.
But whatever you need to get over you butt hurt is Ok. We're all entitled to our own delusions similar to you and your religion. So go for it.

The Big 12 got screwed because they bent over and asked for it. Management decided to not recognize a Campiond, and put it in the panels dhands It's way too late to whine now.

Had Baylor simply realized there was no path for them to be number 1, they should have accepted their fate. Instead they went all scorched earth. Result? Ohio State in, and nobody in from the Big 12. It also lowers the prestige of the Big 12 as the 'worst' of the Power 5, something which is completely untrue. Reality is that the Big 12 is actually the second best.

It's really sad. Had Baylor lost, we'd be talking about TCU at number 1 hosting also undefeated Florida State at the Sugar Bowl.

But in a way, this is justice. This is the first time since the 40s that TCU has had a bowl game vs the SEC. TCU has an opportunity to be number 1 going into the polls at the end of the year, and a chance to come out as number 1 - with Boykins entering his senior year.
