Tony Romo's wedding will have a party crasher of sorts this Saturday — Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Romo's boss received the NFL's OK to attend the nuptials of his star quarterback and former Dallas-area TV reporter Candice Crawford, ESPN.com reported Wednesday.

"I've gotten special permission," Jones said, according to the website. "... (I'm) proud for him. He's got the best end of this deal."

NFL players and team officials have not been allowed to communicate because of the lockout.

Crawford, the younger sister of "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford, will marry Romo at an historic mansion in Dallas.

The former Miss Missouri, 24, began dating one of Dallas' most eligible bachelors in 2009 — two months after he infamously dumped singer Jessica Simpson.

Romo, 31, was previously linked to "American Idol" winner Carrie Underwood, who was a one-time love of Chace Crawford.

I was playing Madden 11 and I think they have the relative ratings (on the final roster update) for the QB's on point for the most part. Here they are:

I think they're a little too high on youth since I don't think Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco should be so high but it looks reasonable otherwise.

So according to the EA Sports crew, Romo is equal to Eli Manning and Matt Schaub. Sounds about right.

I know Tampa didn't get much attention last year but don't sleep on Freeman. He had a great sophmore year.

Sam Bradford:
3512 yards 18 TD 15 INT 60% Cmp% 76.5 QB rating

Josh Freeman:
3451 yards 25 TD 6 INT 61.4% Cmp% 95.9 QB rating

Josh Freeman is better by a bit of a margin. Now, Sam Bradford had a much better rookie year than Freeman did so Bradford has a good chance of being better but Freeman had a very good season last year. 95.9 QB rating and led his team to a 10-6 record.

Plus, Freeman ran for 364 yards. That gives him a few points.

Right now, it looks like Freeman was the steal of that QB draft class... Sanchez isn't as good in the regular season but is a playoff beast (94.3 QB rating in the playoffs)... and Stafford is nothing more than an injury-riddled bum


And just so you know, Sloww, the difference between a Kyle Orton at 83 and a Mark Sanchez at 82 is pretty miniscule. That's why they only assigned a 1 point difference in their ratings.

It's not to be any definitive support for my argument. It's just something to show what some other informed people think.


Really, if you're taking this as some sort of gospel and not just an interesting anecdote along the lines of "hey, Sloww, these guys who know football disagree with you. What you think?"... then I really don't think you have any business questioning my intelligence.
