Brandon Jackson is a must-have at the back-end of your RB group. He could end up with 300 carries, easy.
too late. He was in too much demand. The guy who has him also has AP, Pierre Thomas, Cedric Benson, LT, and Bernard Scott in this league where you can only start 2 RB's yet he still wanted him. Knowing him, he'll probably cut him next week if Jackson struggles and sign the next up and coming name.

I traded Shonn Greene and Alex Smith for Phillip Rivers and Lee Evans before the season began.

Haha, the guy autodrafted Tom Brady and Rivers back to back and onyl had Ronnie Brown, Brandon Jacobs and Reggie Bush at RB. I think it was mutually beneficial if Greene and Smith actually didn't do as bad as they did.

I'm bullish on Shonn Greene at this point. His value has plummeted from a single game against a very tough Ravens defense. Greene is going to bounce back. If you can get Greene for dirt cheap in your leagues, I say buy him.
The Jets are facing a pretty tough schedule this year though. I think that's going to put a cap on Greene's value more than Greene suddenly being sucky.
Same goes for CJ Spiller. He seems instantly written off after a single game. Again, somewhat tough schedule for an RB but this is talent that if you can get for nothing, go for it.

dont matter if he does bounce back, he's in Pittsburgh during our play offs
draft for the playoffs
I send Eli Manning, Jonathan Stewart, and Santana Moss for Larry Fitzgerald, Kevin Kolb, and CJ Spiller.
not bad, but I'm expecting much better production out of Moss this year with McNabb throwing to him. And Fitz could still be very good still if the qb can get his act together. I hope he does, I'd like to be starting him.

And what if your team doesn't make it that far?
I qualified my statement by saying that if you can get him for dirt cheap... meaning you can get him for a bench player, implying you already have starting RB's.
And if you're down with the Ryan Grant injury, Greene's bounce back can help you make it to the playoffs.
Drafting or making decisions based on playoff match ups is retarded. I'm worried about the 13 weeks until then.

I agree Al. Draft for the regular season... trade and WW for the playoffs.
Yeah but trades and pickups this early in the season, should still be season-centric. There's still so many more weeks to go til the playoffs... Week 5 or 6 you start shaking things up for the playoffs, assuming you have a lot of wins by then.

if you say so, but I avoid drafting players who have miserable matchups during our play offs - thats why I dont have Greene on any team. Would you rather have P Manning in NE or BUFF at Christmas or Rivers at home against STL? There's plenty of good players you should be able to focus on during the draft and still make the play offs...

Trade? I seriously doubt we have people in our league who would trade away top players with good matchups for players with bad matchups. I sure wouldn't want to rely on that, better to draft who need. The WW is a possibility, but I play golf so often on Sundays I'm rarely around to nab players who show some fantasy life.

Brandon Jackson, the pickup that may save my team.

Albert, it's not just his performance, but the fact that he had 2 fumbles.

Again, Ben... not every league deducts for fumbles. I'd bet most leagues don't. Apolyton is the only league I've ever seen that goes so in depth with points for completions and deductions for fumbles, sacks, and incomplete passes.

ouch, I didn't know that. But thats okay (I hope), first game jitters are bad enough without having to come in from the bench. If his history is good he'll stop fumbling. But he's never been their featured back that I know, not for long anyway - he just aint a top RB, he's hopefully adequate. Least he can play all 3 downs, he's a good receiver
