Sigh... he was dropping passes left and right.

But the way I look at it, everyone has become overly down on Greene from a single game against a tough Ravens defense. If you can get him for cheap, go for it. Regardless, as of right now, he's still in my starting lineup against MRT.

    • The problem with Shonn Green is that the O-coord (Baby Schott) lost faith in him. He only saw action on one play out of the last 30+.

Rex says it will be an even split, but if Shonn has an early turnover and the game is at all close, he'll be back on the bench.

      • Brandon Jackson was fumbling and dropping passes? Thats unusual, he's the 3rd down back for Grant.

Did anyone see that bowling ball Tolbert for SD? My God, how would you like to see that guy coming at you full speed? They should run that dude to start the game, punish the D line for a while and then put in the burners.

        • Time for my weekly FF question(s)!

Jets or Pit; remember, yards allowed is by far the primary cancern.
Pit plays a Ten team that can rack up the yards with the running game, which tends to lower total yardage, but they still put up 345 in week one. Troy should put a hamper on C.Johnson a bit, but not shut him down.

Jets play a very good NE offense who is looking to avange some heroics from last season. Not sure if NE is going to put up the yardage and points. Which is a nice segway into my second question...

Brady or Vick? Again, yardage is of primary concern. Passing yardage mostly, but rushing yardage is nice too.
Brady... my saviour even since I trade away P.Manning back in 2005 (Brady/Manning has been my keeper since about 2000). Playing against a tough Jets D that has shut him down as of late...

Or Vick, who not only played well against a superbowl favorite, but is playing against a Det defense that gave up over 375 yards passing to the Bears. Det also has, probably, the worst secondary in the NFL.

All signs point to a huge game by Vick, but the old addage "Go with what got you there" looms large.

He was talking about Shonn Greene. I don't know where Brandon Jackson came from. Nobody is talking about Brandon Jackson. Brandon Jackson?

Also, you know Grant is out for the season.

If they had ran him in the two plays they ran Sproles in the 4th quarter, it would have been game over. He actually had a pretty good year last year, but just has been buried in the depth chart. Nice to see him getting some recognition.

                • I'd go Jets/Brady.

That Jets defense is nasty, and LeShaun McCoy is going to run all over the Lions.

                  • Ben says Jets/Brady... which translates to Pit/Vick in the real world.

Yes, the Jets Def is nasty, and they step it up for NE, but McCoy will not run wild on Det. Here is a little secret... Detroit has a pretty good D-line. Definately top half, made even top 10. It's their seconday that is the super weak spot.

                            • Huh? Berzerker don't pull a Slowwhand now.. Ben was obviously referring to Shonn Greene when he said he had two fumbles... you responded to that and noted that he at least is able to catch passes and I responded saying he was dropping them left and right. Where the hell did Brandon Jackson come into the conversation?

Donegeal, so what was the end result between starting the Jets over the Steelers? I see the Jets gave up 282 yards and the Steelers 295 so close... I suppose all the Jets turnovers gave them the edge.

You know what Brady can do and Vick is a question mark. It depends on how daring you are (or how much you need to take a risk judging from the expected production of the rest of your guys and of the guys on your opponent's team). If you want to take the risk for fun, go with Vick but if you want to play it safe, Brady is about as good as you can get. Vick is poised to have a big game against Detroit but who knows what could happen.

I would honestly probably go with Vick for the hell of it but it depends on your risk tolerance...

                              • One thing to keep in mind with Vick though is that offensive line took a beating and Center Jamaal Jackson who is quietly one of the best centers in football is out likely for the season... The Eagles O-Line isn't going to be able to do much to protect Vick (and Weaver is also out so no fullback blocking either... McCoy is a terrible pass blocker and Reid's play-calling will have him running routes a lot) which means less with Vick than with other QB's because of obvious reasons, but he can't run on every down nor will Reid's gameplan call for that... I think Vick is going to be throwing a lot of hurried passes, something which isn't going to be to his advantage.

McCoy running all over We're talking the Eagles here... and last I checked, Reid is still the coach. Even with McCoy being the only runningback the Eagles have with Weaver out, he's still not going to get 20 carries... I would be surprised if he even breaks 15.
