Well being that it's first-come, first-serve free agency, the trade deadline is meaningless. If we so desired to trade Blount for Troy Smith after the deadline, all we'd have to do is agree to both be on at the same time and we just drop and add the relevant players.

Another fabulous week for my teams. Three games, all projected wins by 9 points or more, but lost 'em all.
Oh, and special thanks to Brett Favre for all he did, actually racking up negative points in the 2nd half against the Bears' yardage-friendly, bend-don't-break Tampa2 defense.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

I'm in a league with a guy who has Vick, Desean Jackson, McCoy, David Akers, and Eagles D
Needless to say even that retarded combination of players from the same team dominated. Most fantasy points scored on the year.

This guy also has McNabb on his team
I'm just glad I played him week 1 and not with the Vick-led Eagles.
believe it or not, every year in this league there's one guy who gets everyone from his favorite team (one guy and his Cowboys, now twice it's been Eagles but with different guys each time) and the homer team actually does pretty well every year because their chosen team actually happens to be a powerhouse that year.
You always hear to avoid a bunch of guys from the same team but if the team is high-scoring enough you can do just fine, as an All-Eagles team shows.
I mean the last few years, if you had a team with Manning, Wayne, Dallas Clark, and Joe Addai... you most assuredly made the fantasy playoffs. Brady, Moss, Welker would have been another winning combination, especially in 2007. Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings, and Ryan Grant or Favre, Peterson, Sidney Rice, and Shiancoe last year would have done equally as well. Romo, Witten, TO, Barber a few years ago as well or maybe even Romo, Witten, Austin last year.
In 2007, I had a team that included Jamal Lewis, Braylon Edwards, and Kellen Winslow. I won seven straight by complete blow-outs because Cleveland put up monstrous yardage and points that year.
The scary thing is even in a draft league it wouldn't have been all that unlikely to get teams like that and Vick, Jackson, McCoy would have been very easy to draft. Those three alone this week would have gotten someone like what? 90 points in most formats?

Well it's risky in that you never know which team is going to dominate (although it doesn't look like you can EVER do wrong with Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, Reggie Wayne, and one of the receivers) and even if you guess right, whenever they have an off weak or they play a tough defense, you're screwed. Overall, though, I think it can definitely work if you guess right and really, when you look at the top offenses this year...
Chargers, Giants, Eagles, Colts, Broncos... are the first 4 really all that surprising? Those 4 have had top offenses for years now. You wouldn't be going out on a limb by stockpiling those guys.
Philip Rivers, Antonio Gates, Malcom Floyd would be a hell of a fantasy combo and wasn't really shocking at all.
Eli Manning, Hakeem Nicks, Ahmad Bradshaw as well but that wasn't too clear at the start of the season.
I already went into the Eagles and Colts.
It seems like everyone's scared to do it because it has a 'all eggs in one basket' feel to it, but really, even right now, there's a lot of QB-WR-RB-WR/TE combos that would probably dominate in most fantasy formats. It doesn't take much effort to find several teams where stockpiling their players would make a lot of sense."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

I would call the Eagles a bit of a surprise, since the were undergoing a QB change and no one could foresee the Vick thing.
I like having a QB teamed with one other key piece - a WR1, RB1 who catches passes, or dominant TE. But I do that opportunistically. In IDP, I ended up with Cutler-Forte, but that certainly wasn't the plan going into the draft. Having Forte is why I took Cutler (QB10, IIRC), though I still have my regrets on that.
Unless you're picking at the end of a round, you can't count on a one-team build unless you're willing to "reach" on one or two picks. (I'm looking at you, Kenobi.)
Ben K, btw, has done very well with his Chargers-dominated approach the past two years.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011
