I'm a big believer in an early QB strategy. Start and forget. Reach for an underappreciated backup in 12/13, with a strong starter. I'd rather have 5/6 solid backs and wrs than a QB3. The more backs the better, as that is 5 positions I have to fill every week.
My list was one of the following, Brees, Manning, Rivers, Rodgers, Schaub in that order. So I usually slot in pick number 2 as a starting QB.
RB/QB/WR/TE with TE being Gates, and QB likely Rivers if I have a late pick. Pick 1 is always the highest ranking RB on the board (in this case it was SJax). Pick 3 is more flexible. I will pick the best player still available.
Getting 4 solid players means that no matter what your team is going to be ok. Then it's just a matter of filling your holes.
