Why would the number of teams have any bearing at all? If you're unhappy with your QB and 5 teams have 3, figure something out. I don't think it's up to me, or anyone else, to tell you how to go about winning the season. Don't you think that would be kind of stupid?

We had a fair number of trades in IDP last year iirc, but you really need to seek them out -- find a team who needs that which you have to spare and start the conversation, preferably via PM. But yeah, most managers are too lazy and fatalistic to bother. Maybe it's fear of rejection.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

In D/ST, I'm starting 3 rookies. That includes a QB and my two RB. I only have 2 QB's though, so don't come sniffing around.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

I was thinking of taking a 4th QB, actually...~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~

I might think about 3 to work a trade. I guess you could with 4, but the quality of the QB would likely be little.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Also, that situation was mitigated by his being injury-plagued down the stretch the past couple years.
As for his trade, from my seat on the outside of it all, there were plenty of factors.
One, he's the old guy now. He was on the Chargers since 2001.
One of the things he mentioned in his statement is the situation with VJ. He wasn't in the loop with VJ and VJ wasn't willing to open up and trust LT.
The only guys who were there from 2001 were Jamal Williams, and David Binn. That's it. LT was there before Gates, before Rivers, before every other starter and backup on offense and defense, and he was the last man standing.
LT took it to mean that the team had moved on from him and didn't need him anymore.
Two, he timed it with Norv Turner's extension. I don't think LT was happy at all losing Marty Schottenheimer, and I think he was still disaffected from the team partially because of the firing.
Three, he'd been willing to accept all this as the inevitable press of time, so long as the Chargers were winning. He really believe that last year was it.
When they were unceremoniously bounced in the first round, LT took it hard, but he also took it out of the staff and on the rest of the team.
Four, Brees winning a superbowl with the Saints. Recall when he was traded, the Chargers were a better team. This also hit LT hard wrt to his concerns about the organisation.
Five, lack of respect within the Chargers system. This is a problem with the Spano's.
Anyways, this is just my opinion from watching the situation unfold.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

Obviously, you've given it a lot of thought.
My take: Two straight seasons being unavailable for the playoffs, and being a RB with a lot of miles on him, SD perceived Tomlinson as unreliable, unable to take the pounding he used to, so he was deemed expendable.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

I say let them not get any value out of their QBs. They can only start one. That's one less skill position player they have"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Maybe there's other stuff going on behind the scenes, I dunno. Just from what he says, and how he says it I think I have it pretty close. The comment about the Spanos is just my speculation, they have tended to do this to somne of their best players long before AJ was involved.
The Jets are the closest thing to a reunion with the Schottenheimers as he can get.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

It's not my fault Favre sucks ass. Actually, I shouldn't feel bad. I got him in the 4th round which was dirt cheap. I just can't believe everybody else I drafted has been complete balls.
Maybe Favre to Randy Moss will reinvigorate my team since I do have both of them."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Fantasy question... in my money league, the Ravens have, for the 3rd straight week, given me a measly 5 points and are the 28th ranked fantasy defense in my format. They're such a good defense in preventing big points and limiting yards but they don't get turnovers, sacks, or return yards. Ed Reed will return week 7, however, but that's still a while off.
I'm looking at Atlanta which faces off against Jake Delhomme this week as an alternative. Does it make sense to drop the unproductive in fantasy Ravens for this week's matchup play (the Falcons have a nice schedule starting in Week 13 against Tampa, Carolina, and Seattle, by the way)? I want to keep my skill position prospects so I don't want to waste roster space with both teams (they also share the same bye).
How do you guys handle defenses when they're better defenses in real life than in fantasy?"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
