For example, someone ranked 3rd on this chart but whose 1st in the real standings would get a (-2), or 2 ranks below their actual position. Now you've reversed the luck-o-meter. Cool being a 0.
I still think I'm only number three, behind Guy and Jag. Guy and Jag both have consistantly better teams, lower standard deviation.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

This the thing. The Bears are the league's #1 rush D giving up an incredible 39 yards per game. Obviously, that's not going to be sustainable. Then you consider where the rushing attack of the teams they've played against rank... Detroit is 31st in rushing yardage, Dallas is 26th, and Green Bay is 22nd. Granted, some of their low totals are because 1/3rd of their games were against the supposedly great Chicago D but let's get real... these teams have issues running the ball.
Bradshaw should do just fine. He probably won't get 100 yards but the way Jacobs didn't get the goal-line touches last week... I'm sure even if Bradshaw doesn't get big yards, he'll have a good chance at a score. I'm not sold though because it seems like good fantasy production will be contingent on a TD which brings me to...
I don't trust Fitz at this point. He's racked up 26 fantasy points in 3 weeks which is pretty solid but 12 of those points came off of TD scores which aren't consistent.
This is the problem I'm seeing with Fitz... According to ESPN, he's been targeted a whopping 35 times! Yet Derek Anderson's accuracy is so bad, he's only had 12 catches. Like I said, Anderson does seem to get it to Fitz in the red zone but with 4 catches a game, I can't expect Fitz to get scores every week. So far this season, he's had a 43 yard, 83 yard, and 26 yard games. If he didn't get a TD last week, his 26 yard performance would have been terrible.
Then I look at a guy like Louis Murphy who has a crappy QB also in Gradkowski but he has a rhythm with him going back to last season. Murphy did nothing with Campbell in Week 1 but as soon as Gradkowski took over, he went off... 6 catches 91 yards and a TD in week 2, 5 catches for 119 yards in week 3.
And he's facing off against possibly the worst secondary in the NFL (the Houston Texans). Furthermore, his 15 catches on the season come on 23 looks... 23 targets in 3 games is respectable #1 receiver targets and he's making the catches.
Believe me, I don't like the idea of benching Fitz since I made a big trade for him and he's the only guy I got out of that that has been useful (Kolb and Spiller were the other two guys I got in the trade)... and I traded for him specifically to have a weekly start him and forget him fantasy player, but Fitz with his 8 fantasy points last week was blown away by everybody on my bench (Maclin, Gaffney, Murphy). I need to see Anderson do something before I turn back to him.
Marshall, Maclin, and Murphy are going to get the starts for me. The issue comes down to Fitz versus Bradshaw and I feel they are both in similar circumstances in that they play against very good D's and a good day for either of them will come from the sheer luck of a goal-line carry or target. Bradshaw has the advantage of I think the Bears Run D NOT being for real and that he's virtually guaranteed at least 15-20 touches while Fitz is averaging 4 catches a game. You got to go with the guy who will get more opportunity, right?Last edited by Al B. Sure!; September 29, 2010, 03:31."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Let me get out the pot to stir again...
Vick v Brady for the third week in a row. Again, yards passing is of primary concern.
Brady (252 ypg) vs Miami (# 9 pass defense allowing 193 ypg)
Vick (250) vs Washington (#31 pass defense allowing 325 ypg)
Vick v Washington appears to be the much better matchup, but maybe Washington isn't so bad at pass defense, just had the one bad game against Houston.
Also, what is Ray Rice's status? I need a RB and I am thinking of taking McGahee off WW.Founder of The Glory of War, CHAMPIONS OF APOLYTON!!!

Why we doing your research? This stuff is easy to find. ESPN's Stephania Bell updates injury statuses all the time:
Ray Rice, Baltimore Ravens: Rice did not practice Wednesday, which comes as no surprise. Diagnosed with a knee contusion after Sunday's game, Rice's activity will be limited at best early on. The Baltimore Sun quoted a source close to Rice as saying the injury "is not that bad." Sure, it's not a ligament sprain or a fracture, but one shouldn't underestimate how limiting swelling around the knee can be for a running back. The big unknown is how much time it will take for the swelling to subside so that Rice has complete, easy motion of the knee and the ability to perform at full strength. Rice is eager to play; it's just a question of how the knee and the clock cooperate. Fantasy owners should prepare a backup plan but keep an eye on Rice's activity for the next two days.
As for Brady vs. Vick... mightaswell keep riding the Vick train. It's going to stop eventually but no reason to think it'll stop this week against that Washington D."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Louis Murphy appears to be hurt. Will have to monitor. May end up having to start Fitz anyway."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Your not doing my research. I am just always looking for better sources. For instance, after I posted the question, I looked up my info on myfantasyleague.com and found better, more updated info than Bell's injury update.Founder of The Glory of War, CHAMPIONS OF APOLYTON!!!

Bell's will be updated before Sunday's games. No real purpose to minute by the minute updates days in advance of Sunday! I think ESPN has more access to info than some rinkydink website.

Not pimping anything out. Hell, I don't even use the site. I have friends who have a league there and I just tag along for the info.
Ok... let me change that. I'm not pimping out that website... I am pimping out my category scoring system. I readily admit to that.Founder of The Glory of War, CHAMPIONS OF APOLYTON!!!
