Other observations:

I've never seen Regehr, Aucoin, or Sarich this bad before (though Sarich is usually pretty bad). This is like a perfect storm of suck tonight.

Iginla and Lombardi are really the only players I liked tonight.

And the ***** turtled when he got his come-uppance from Iginla for that crosscheck. What a coward, honestly -- hate that guy.

3) The Flames unexpectedly -- and without practice time -- lost their top two centres resulting in bizarre line combinations with unfamiliar players

THat all played a part as did-- Iggy being needled effectively by Canuck checkers, Kipper not being great, some severe defensive breakdowns and a few hard-luck bounces


The only upside I saw in the third as Keenan seemed to rest his stars was that Boyd and Moss were buzzing . .. nice to see the youth on the team show some energy

Hey they are fun to watch these days -- I'm always pretty honest about what I see despite my biases-- For most of the first half they were one of the worst teams in the league-- oNLY goaltending and shootout prowess kept them from being HORRIFICLY bad in the standings.

They have evolved into a team thats becoming almost as strikingly good. I still have a tough time seeing their talent being as high a level as their recent record but they are energetic and confident and a lot of fun to see.

My Flames? a squad that should have closed out a playoff spot on their easterm swing-- In the long run I like their core that they have signed long-term but I don't see a whole lot of nthe rest that is that special-- I'll still root for them nontheless

Oh and in the pool-- what is the tiebreak? I suspect I lost but the stats currently show as me being down 5-3 but I am wondering if my opponent got in his goalie games-- If not save % swings to me and we are 4-4 on the week

Iggys PPA tonight prevents me from winning 4-3-1 if my goalie game assumption is correct

But you still have another week, so it shouldn't matter just yet.

As this is the finals, and the final week of our pool, we have anther week to fight it out (same team), gives me a chance to catch up and defeat Asher where it matters.....umm, in the consolation round finals.....that does matter right? in a no money draft?

You got me looking closer at your week so far Flubber and I noticed that you are at:

Flubber's Folly 7 17 -20 2 5 6 .901 1 3

As of this morning. The -20 got me thinking, if your players have 7 goals and 17 assists, and only 2 goals were p/p and 5 assists were p/p. I think this means your players were on the ice for 24-7= 17 even strength goals for, and to get to -20 were on the ice for 37 even strength goals against!

Impressive! I look forward to following your +/- for the rest of the week, you could break new records
