Where have they been all season? And why do they pick tonight, on of the few (only?) times in the last decade or so where I am actually cheering for the Flames to score.
I was going to figure out the permutations still remaining on the season, but with 4 possibilities for every game (2-0, 2-1, 1-2 and 0-2) there are too many outcomes for me to bother......though as we get to fewer games left I might go through the effort if only to settle the senseless debate.

In this one they had clusters of good play-- Lombardi was digging hard for example and Tanguay laid out Kessler as part fo the Flames second goal. Then a combination or defensive lapses, less than stellar goaltending and a bad bounce or two led to this result so far . ..
Luongo has been pretty decent-- he hasn't looked his sharpest but the puck is staying out
Oh and Asher .. . while losing your top 2 centres is tough, the Flames have lost a very very low number of games due to injury compared to other teams. I think there's a variety of reasons:
1) The Canucks are a lot more hungry and desperate
2) The Flames played the night before in another city in a very hard-fought, physical game
