Ya Dallas has no particular rivalry with Calgary-- IIRC they have had playoff tilts with Vancouver and Edmonton but I don't recall when they played the Flames outside the regular season-- I assume it was a while back

Wow-- did anyone watch the Flames versus LA-- THe Flames were terrible in the 3rd and turned a 3-1 lead into a 4-3 deficet before winning 6-4. Its good for them that the KIngs really do suck these days-- they would not have garnered 2 points against most other teams with that effort

Didn't catch the game, but they still won it. The Flames are now in 3rd place in the west, top of the NW Division (toughest division in hockey, minus the Oil).

More importantly -- I pasted nye 5-1 last week.

IT was weird game in that the Flames were looking solid and outclassed LA in the first. The second was more even . In the 3rd the Flames disappeared for a while-- despite scoring 3 times, I don't know that they had more than 6 shots on goal.

Not the most impressive outing but a good team can win against a bad one even on an off night sometimes.

While 3rd is where they stand its a mere 1 point lead on those Canucks with the Canucks having TWO games in hand. Nice to see them lead the division though, however it happens. Their goals againts though is still far too high.

The Oil? Their shootout heroics masks how truly awful their record in the first 60 minutes of games has been. BUt its weird since they haven't been getting blown out much either lately-- losing a fair number of one and two goal games.

Just curious but has anyone had an 8-0-0 week? I don't think there has been one this year-- Has anyone ever had one?

I've also been noticing that really weird things can happen on any given week. MY team is usally doing ok in PPG (7-3-4 record in that category) but last week I got ONE and then that was enough to win the category !!

The only almost absolute is that Spirtual Depantsing usually wins goals (11-1-2 record WOW) and CI often takes save precentage (11-3) but we do have 3 teams that have never won the shutout category
