Good retort.Indeed that was a low point. The Irish were coming off a 5-7 campaign and Bob Davie was on his way out. Ironically, even if the team thought it had been sold out, they took the top-ranked Nebraska team to overtime before losing. And they went on to have a 9-2 regular season.
However, I have heard from people who went to that game that the Huskers' taking over South Bend was exaggerated.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Well, I was there when the Huskers kicked ND's ass in Lincoln and I can tell you that there weren't very many ND fans in attendance...

Nebraska fans travel very well, which is why we also score prime bowls. I wouldn't say we are the best by far, however. There are some other teams whose fans travel very well...KH FOR OWNER!
ASHER FOR CEO!!
GUYNEMER FOR OT MOD!!!

One of the nice things about being an ND fan is that you don't have to go to Lincoln to actually see the game.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. Checking Google, that's only about an 8 or 9 hour drive from South Bend. Should be doable.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. By the way, rumor is that Navy's Johnson is moving to Bama. Good for Tubes... let's hope he's is bringing down the ire of the Mormon church by drinking up a storm“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
