I understand the 1A and 1AA. Ok?
They would each have their own playoffs, like 5A and 4A, and 6 Man or whatever.

Half the teams in the playoff have two losses. And Boise State didn't make the cut. So you have a good chance of having a national champ with two losses and you don't eliminate controversy because you didn't even give every undefeated team a chance to play. Why do so many of you want a playoff, again?
...um, because we don't want THAT playoff...?

Damn. What the hell's happening down in Arkansas? Looks like a full-blown player insurrection! Head coaches lying to recruits to save their jobs. Players calling them out for it, but getting the hush-you from senior players. The works! Dirty laundry everywhere.
Glad that Charlie Weis didn't get into the middle of this after all!
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Not the end of the world, though. Next year going undefeated is even better chance than this year, cupcakes or not. The team overall is pretty young. And despite what some people will say, the sky is not falling because Damian Williams transferred. Good luck to him wherever he goes.
I think we play Texas again in 08. Get ready, Sloww. It's coming.
Y'all got some strange **** goin' on down there, dude.

MrM: Yeh, it's all peachy now. Like nothing ever happened.

I noticed that. Wasn't he the offensive coordinator for a couple of years before being promoted?
For his sake, hope he doesn't pull a Faust but instead pulls a Tressel.
How old is he?

Could be. I just know Southlake Carroll is always in the playoffs.

The way I heard the story is that Nutt sat down with Cleveland, Mustain, and Williams. Drew the proverbial line in the sand and said you are either with us and we'll move forward or you are against us and can leave. Williams got up and left the room.
I've been fairly busy lately and I'm reading some of this as you guys do.
I feel sorry for DW. However this comes off, he's going to be known as the guy who left his 10-3 team as a freshman all-SEC with a bright future because of playing time (as opposed to waiting for the offense to shift and him to get more touches over his next few years). He's a stud who could do well anywhere, but he's not gauranteed anything anywhere else either.
Mitch has gone to practice and will not ask for a transfer. He is unconcerned about playing time and simply wants to see the Hogs play a balanced offense.
Now, I'm no head coach, but I know two things: 1) even a balanced offense focuses on its strong points, but 2) 4th rushing and 105th passing is not a balanced offense.
Can you blame them for riding Peterson? Evidently it's working fairly well.
