    Agreed.

    • Possible. LSU has the edge with talent.

I will take bets with 9 points, however, due to LSU being inconsistent.

      I enjoy being the underdog.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. • I'm a lot brasher than you, Dan. Let me say it.

Notre Dame is going to kick LSU's ass.

          • I'll be brasher than Slowwhand . LSU will beat Notre Dame by, at least, 2 TDs.

            • So you'll give me 13 points? A bet? I note that ESPN's model says LSU by 12, so giving me 13 points isn't out of the realm of reason.

              • The line is 9... though if you think ND is going to win, we could make a bet for straight up winner .

                • AO. OA. I'm not getting in between two self-described brash folks. ND has been blown out twice this year, and was set up against LSU only because ND travels by far the best of any team in college football. So I'm looking for some value. I'm just giving you an opportunity to have the bragging rights for your good opinions for all who read this thread.

So bowl season starts tonight with the - get this - San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl.

Some of these bowl names are funny. Bowl Schedule.

Still, none of them holds a candle to the former Poulan/ Weed Eater Independence Bowl.

Hey Sloww, since you think Notre Dame is going to kick LSU's ass, what about straight up or giving me points? Just trying to give you bragging rights for your 'good opinions' .

I don't know about that. You do remember when Nebraska fans took over South Bend, don't you?

                              edit:
September 9, 2000, was my lowest moment as a Notre Dame fan and alum. The top-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers invaded South Bend and so did their fans. So many alums had scalped their tickets to Husker fans that Notre Dame Stadium became a sea of red. The rest of us were a sea of red faces. It was embarrassing. Or ignominious. I was ashamed for Notre Dame and not one member of that football squad could have failed to notice that, by and large, their fans had sold them out
