    • Fact check: Story of Army raid to seize election servers in Germany is false

The claim: The military performed a raid in Germany to seize servers that show Donald Trump won the election

Joe Biden is the president-elect, after winning key battleground states and securing enough electoral votes to win the White House on Nov. 7. A few more state calls brought his total number of electoral votes to 290 — significantly over the 270 votes required to win.

In contrast, President Donald Trump has claimed 232 electoral votes. There are 16 votes remaining, in Georgia, pending a recount — though Biden is in the lead and the result will not change the outcome of the election.

But some users on Facebook claim the military has seized servers in Frankfurt, Germany, that show very different results.

Most of the posts on Facebook reference a post on Parler, a social media platform that has recently grown in popularity among conservatives.

"So our military does a little raid in Germany to retrieve the server where our voting info was routed," the posts read. "After analysis of the server, they discover that this is what the voting outcome actually looks like."

The map attached to the posts shows Trump with a whopping 410 electoral votes and Biden at just 138 electoral votes.

Users on Facebook also shared clips of Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, speaking about the purported raid last week.

"I don't know the truth, I know that there was a German tweet, in German, saying that on Monday, U.S. Army forces went into Scytl and grabbed their server," Gohmert said.

Scytl is a software company based out of Bacelona, Spain, that specializes in election technology.

Earlier in the clip, Gohmert said that its servers contained information that could help establish "how many votes were switched from Republican to Democrat."

Travis Pope, the user who posted the video of Gohmert, told USA TODAY that "Louie Gohmert is about as honest as they come" and that he believes him over "fake news."

George Papadopoulos — a former Trump campaign adviser who was sentenced to 14 days in prison for lying to the FBI — also wrote about the incident on Twitter. But he misstated the company Gohmert had referred to, claiming instead that the servers belonged to Dominion Voting Systems.

USA TODAY has previously debunked false claims about Dominion Voting Systems, including that its machines deleted votes for Trump or switched them to be for Biden.

Gohmert, Papadopoulos, and the users behind the posts on Facebook have not responded to requests from USA TODAY for comment.

The claims center on a purported raid by the U.S. Army in Germany. But no such raid took place. On Saturday, a spokesperson from the Army told the Associated Press, "Those allegations are false.”

Scytl also put out a statement on Friday to refute the claims, including that it currently does not have servers or offices in Frankfurt.

"The US army has not seized anything from Scytl in Barcelona, Frankfurt or anywhere else," the statement explained.

The statement also clarified that that its technologies were not used to "tabulate, tally or count votes in the US," and were "hosted and managed within the US, by a local subsidiary, SOE Software, based in Tampa, Florida."

Jonathan Brill, the president of the company's U.S. division, told the Associated Press that Scytl temporarily had backup servers in Frankfurt for a project related to the European Parliament, but they were closed in September 2019.

“Scytl products sold to US customers are fully housed in the US, utilizing Amazon Web Services and have never been housed in Germany," Brill said.

Chris Krebs, the director of the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, also debunked the claims on Twitter on Saturday.

"Election-related servers WERE NOT recently seized in Europe by the US Army contrary to #disinfo rapidly spreading across social media," he wrote on Saturday.

Last week, an election security coalition that includes Krebs' CISA and the National Association of State Election Directors described the election as "the most secure in American history," per USA TODAY.

The coalition found that "there is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised."
      Our ruling: False

Based on our research, the claim that the military preformed a raid in Germany to seize servers that show Donald Trump won the election is FALSE. The U.S. Army denied preforming such a raid, and the company whose purported servers were seized didn't even have servers in Germany.

Overall, a coalition of election security officials concluded the election — which Joe Biden won — was "secure," and no votes were deleted, switched, or compromised.
Users on Facebook and Parler claim that the U.S. Army seized servers in Germany that show that Donald Trump won the election with 410 electoral votes.

Mythical computer servers in foreign countries haven't changed the outcome of the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

Whoever started this hoax must think you all are very stupid, to believe Trump actually won California

        • Trump Legal Team’s Supposed Evidence of Fraud is From the WRONG STATE

President Donald Trump’s lawyers have seemingly confused Michigan with Minnesota in an affidavit attempting to prove 2020 election fraud.

In their effort to demonstrate voter irregularities in the state of Michigan — which Trump was projected to have lost to Joe Biden — Trump’s lawyers appeared to mistake Michigan’s abbreviation “MI” for Minnesota.
On his Power Line blog, Thursday, John Hinderaker pointed out the major error.

“Here’s the problem: the townships and precincts listed in paragraphs 11 and 17 of the affidavit are not in Michigan. They are in Minnesota,” Hinderaker declared. “Monticello, Albertville, Lake Lillian, Houston, Brownsville, Runeberg, Wolf Lake, Height of Land, Detroit Lakes, Frazee, Kandiyohi–these are all towns in Minnesota.”

by Elizabeth VaughnPosted: November 21, 2020

Fight tech tyranny. Join Dan on Parler @dbongino.

After members of President Trump’s legal team detected what they believed to be statistical anomalies in the election results, they began to zero in on the company that manufactured the equipment used to tally the votes.

Dominion Voting Systems is one of three major vendors of voting machine equipment in America. Along with Election Systems & Software and Hart InterCivic, they provide over 90 percent of the hardware and software used to conduct elections in the U.S. Smartmatic is a company that provided voting software to many states in this election.

On November 12, the Election Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council (GCC) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Executive Committees issued a joint statement in which they sought to assure voters of the integrity of the election. CISA is an agency of the Department of Homeland Security. The GCC is a “team working under the aegis” of CISA.

The statement began, “The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history.” It also said, “[t]here is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.”

Because CISA and GCC are part of DHS, Democrats and some Republicans now point to this statement as proof that no fraud occurred and that Trump should now concede the race to former Vice President Joe Biden.

A deeper look at anti-Trumper Christopher Krebs, the Director of CISA, and the individual responsible for issuing the election security statement, tells us that all may not be as it seems.

After releasing this statement, Krebs told the press that he expected to be fired and Trump did not disappoint.

Why did Trump fire Krebs? Because Krebs blew his cover as the press as been reporting?

On his Thursday podcast (episode #1397, below), Dan Bongino explained a few inconvenient, and well-documented, truths.

              1. For starters, according to The Epoch Times’ Jeff Carlson:
What the agency failed to disclose, however, is that Dominion is a member of CISA’s Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Council, one of two entities that authored the statement put out by CISA.

In addition, Smartmatic, a separate voting machine company that has been the subject of additional concerns, is another member.

              2. Exactly one year ago, The Hill reported that CISA announced they “would partner with election officials and private sector groups to develop an election auditing tool that can be used to help ensure the accuracy of votes in 2020.” They would be “partnering with non-profit group VotingWorks on an open-source software tool known as Arlo, which is provided to state and local election officials for free.”

The Hill piece cites a quote from a statement made by CISA Director Christopher Krebs. “Heading into 2020, we’re exploring all possible ways that we can support state and local election officials while also ensuring that Americans across the country can confidently cast their votes.”

              3. Who is VotingWorks?

Independent journalist Kyle Becker tells us. “An election auditing firm used in swing states with ties to MAJOR left-wing groups.”

In the article below, we learn that, “In April 2020, responding to the COVID pandemic, VotingWorks announced it would be providing technological assistance to states and local jurisdictions seeking to scale up voting by mail opportunities.

“VotingWorks was created within and incubated by the left-leaning Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT). CDT’s major donors include large left of center foundations, including George Soros’ Foundation to Promote Open Society, the Ford Foundation and the MacArthur Foundation.”

Dan makes clear that none of this proves that fraud occurred.

That said, he asks, “Does it mean there could be fraud? An investigation could tell…[But] what the hell is the government [doing], at any level, partnering with a group that’s taking money from far left groups?’

I think most of us are asking the same question. Dan continues:
You’re the DHS. I don’t want money from right or left-leaning groups in a vote auditing system. Conservative, liberal, whatever. There should be no partisanship at all. Vote auditing should be about vote auditing.

Why are we partnering with people from left leaning groups, no less funded by a known liberal billionaire who has funded liberal causes all around the country?

Did you ever think for a moment that that would cause a bit of skepticism?

We live in the greatest country on earth and we are rapidly descending into third world republic status.

Unfortunately, the legacy media won’t report any of these connections. They’ll just tell viewers that DHS claims this was the most secure election ever and that Krebs was fired for destroying President Trump’s narrative."

Of course it is not from a source that didn't give you the whole truth, because they gave you a half-truth for a reason.

Why do you keep falling for the half-truths?

                    • A group of Michigan voters are suing the Trump campaign for disenfranchising Black voters, lawsuit alleges

A group of Michigan voters and the Michigan Welfare Rights Organization are suing President Donald Trump and the Trump presidential campaign, accusing them of "openly seeking to disenfranchise Black voters" through their legal challenges to the 2020 presidential election,
                      according to Politico.

                      In their
lawsuit, filed on Friday in the US District Court for the District of Columbia, the group alleges that the Trump campaign is trying to suppress hundreds of thousands of votes, including many cast by Black voters, by challenging the results of the election. The Trump campaign has targeted Wayne County, which encompasses majority-Black Detroit, in its efforts to investigate any cases of voter fraud.

As Trump continues to unleash debunked claims of mail-in voter fraud in reaction to his loss to President-elect Joe Biden, the Trump campaign has asked several state and local voting officials to hold off on certifying the official results, which,
according to the plaintiffs, is "compromising the integrity of the election process" and "unlawfully interfering with the will of the voters."
