The group of groups you were condemning do want a carbon tax, and apparently were willing to negotiate a compromise with the competing carbon tax plan. Of course they will use every politically useful argument to argue against the non-compromising competitor's plan, so as to preserve the ability to get their own (or a compromise) plan. Using other arguments on top of purely environmental arguments doesn't necessarily mean they do not care about the environment. People can care about more than one thing. People can even make arguments that support their position on something they care about when those arguments are about other topics they may or may not care about.

According to Allan Lichtman (the Professor for political history who correctly predicted Trumps victory (as well as the outcome of nearly every US presidential election since 1984)) there is a high chance that Trump won't complete his 4 years term, but rather will face impeachment at one time.

Doubtful, given that the Republicans hold both the Senate and house and unlikely to lose either.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

Trump's situation is very, very different. Republicans aren't going to impeach a republican, not after an election win.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.
