I hope you are right. Especially with certain states.

And one must ask another question... Are those supporting Trump, voting for Trump for this supposed change or by partisan lines?

      • The latest IPSOS poll has Hillary up by 7%. Steady. 44-39%.

Trump seems to be stuck in the upper 30s to lower 40s in many polls. Even with state polling. Hillary is in the mid to upper 40s.

What this means is some are on the fence. Trump would have to win the vast majority to even catch up. I don't think that is happening.

Hillary up by +4% in Michigan, +6% in Wisconsin and +7% in Virginia. New Hampshire may be on the edge, but so is Georgia. I think Hillary will win NH and Trump will win Georgia in the end though.

          • Lots of republican pollsters are making Pennsylvania look close (like even to 3%). I wonder. Monmouth had her up by 4% and they are the best rated out of the bunch according to 538. Remember Obama won the state in 2012 by +5.4% and there are many more registered democrats in the state. So Monmouth isn't too far off.

Trump is NOT polling well in the state. It only appears it is close, but it really isn't. His numbers are below Romneys and she only needs to get more democrats out.

As said... Trump is underperforming compared to Romney, and Clinton is underperforming compared to Obama. But Trump is underperforming by a vast more amount.

            • A major victory for voters and the Democrats...

Tuesday’s argument over abortion pills highlighted the stakes the 2024 presidential election will have for the court.

A US federal judge has issued a restraining order preventing anyone from either party or campaign in being outside polling locations in Ohio. This is directed at Roger Stone. Intimidation will not be allowed nor anyone not authorized to be there by authorities.

In addition, in Ohio, Republicans officials are in hot water for failing to send out one million ballots (with the option of voting by mail). Maybe Republicans have narrowly led early voting, but there may be more nefarious reasons for it. I'm sure the Hillary campaign will get democrats voting on election day.

              Correction:

              One million absentee ballots.

              • Also some on Latinos who are said to favor Hillary by a 50% gap. They have seen a surge in voting in Nevada, Arizona and Florida.

Florida is critical... In 2012, Latinos made up 9.4% of the voters who voted early. Obama won the state by a hair under 1%. Now that number is over 14%.

Nevada has also seen an increase in Latino voters by about 1% in early votes (to around 11%).

Keep in mind, many have already voted early and the article factors that in. You know the reason.

Someone said Latinos don't vote as a bloc. Well... Trump may have just changed that.

Maybe the Ohio judge ruling will be copied in other states.
Last edited by Giancarlo; November 4, 2016, 17:32. Reason: Correction, early votes. Not registration. registration is sharply up too.

                • i just saw this frankly bizarre story on the guardian.

An email from the artist forwarded by Clinton’s campaign chief has been seized on by the right as proof that the Democratic candidate has links with the occult

Performance artist Marina Abramović has become an unlikely source of fear for rightwing groups after her name was mentioned in the Podesta emails.

In a leaked email between Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, and his brother Tony Podesta, an invitation from Abramović is forwarded. It reads: “I am so looking forward to the Spirit Cooking dinner at my place. Do you think you will be able to let me know if your brother is joining?”

The act of spirit cooking involves Abramović using pig’s blood as a way of connecting with the spiritual world, to cook up thoughts rather than food. A video of the practice shows her writing various statements with the blood, such as “with a sharp knife cut deeply into your middle finger eat the pain”.

Abramović is known, and lauded, for work that focuses on pain, blood and the relationship between the performer and the audience. Her work has won many awards, including the Golden Lion at Venice.

The email has caused shock within some Republican circles, with Alex Jones’s news site Infowars calling it “one of the most disturbing WikiLeaks revelations to date”, as well as stating “reports that FBI agents see Hillary Clinton as ‘the antichrist personified’ now make a lot more sense”.

On Twitter, #SpiritCooking was the top trend on Friday morning. Republican author Mark Dice tweeted: “I am now accepting apologies from everyone who said I was crazy for writing books about how the Establishment are Satanists”. While another tweet, shared over 1,000 times compared her to the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
this would be a total non-story in most places, but in the religious US it has produced over half a million tweets and a similar explosion on facebook and other social media, causing the mainstream media to pick it up. one wonders if this will have any effect on evangelical turnout.

                  • Non story even here. Evangelicals aren't too excited about a candidate that gropes women either. They will vote, but will this spark a mass increase in their turnout? Probably not.

This story is obscure and I haven't seen it anywhere in the media here.

                    Strange, but irrelevant.

A judge has ruled in North Carolina voter registrations must be restored which cancellation is said to have targeted black voters. Apparently this is quite wide spread.

yeah, it probably won't have a big effect, but it might cause a few #nevertrump evangelicals to turn out vote for him and a few black or hispanic evangelicals to stay at home.

i've seen it on washington post and huff po. obviously they're playing it down, but even a story that says 'no, hillary/hillary's people didn't take part in satanic rituals' isn't exactly helpful.

                        • With all the other stuff going on, I don't think it will have much effect at all. I don't even think it had many clicks. If any at all.

                          If anything...

"Execute her!" Being yelled at a certain rally is probably going to incite people to vote for Hillary.

Sorry, but it is a nonstarter.

More favorable PPP polls came out for Hillary. PPP is a Democrat owned pollster but actually has a small republican bias. Insurance policy basically lol.

Also any comment on the forged fake documents that Fox News aired and were later exposed as fraudulent? And how about the idiot Rudy Giuliani basically admitting he committed a crime by receiving leaked information? Idiot admitted it on national TV.

                          • Clinton supporters enthusiasm has now exceeded Trump supporters. It looks Clinton supporters are fired up again.

Plus Clinton is now +4% in that ABC poll. 47-43. Worst time for Trump to slip up.

Edit: So I don't make a ton of posts...

As is happening in battleground states across the country, Clinton's amassing a
large lead in early voting in each of these states. Among those who have already
cast their ballots she's up 52-41 in Colorado, 57-36 in Michigan, and 63-32 in
Virginia. Trump will be counting on a very strong performance on Election Day to
have any chance at taking Michigan and Virginia, and he's probably pretty much
already lost Colorado given the volume of early voting there.
Michigan and Virginia early voting advantages are way pass any margin of error and exceed 2012 levels.
