Which is why the democrats have won over future generations of voters. This is simply not working here. I suggest you look up more into what is going on here.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

As I said american elections get minimum coverage over here. It's distant echo.

However I'm quite positive that if clinton continues "business as usual" the next trump will wreac havoc in the elections.

      That's my take.

Who says the republicans will go and find the "next Trump"? Don't say Ted Cruz.

The problem for republicans is they lost an entire generation of voters, to appeal to older voters. Look at their rallies. Mostly an older crowd.

Um, the US isn't the UK or Greece.

              Sure.

Who says republicans are the only fish out there. Or democrats for that matter.

American politics are considered borderlike far right by european standards, but last I checked it is a functioning democracy and other fish might appear.

The issue is one and is the welfare of the people.

A vehicle will appear that will lead the change, eventually. If things remain unchanged.

I'll happily agree that it is not, however there is an undercurrent of challenge of the status quo. Each country materializes this according to its national psyche (or lack of in some cases).

                  Missed the point.

I'm talking about the future generations... that have been lost for republicans.

And the way the system is set up, third parties are non-existent and stand little chance.

The last best showing was Ross Perot.

                  Gary Johnson has faded.

                    Among a minority of people.

That in the end is why they'll fail.

I don't think that will hold for long

That's what they said in 1992.

They said Ross Perot was an indication of the death of the two party system.

But really... the democrats have a lock on a rainbow coalition of sorts.

                        • Again I re-iterate that I'm not that familiar with american politics.

I'll accept that the democrats are in a position of dominance right now but that doesn't mean much.

As you become a nation of minorities wealth redistribution is the only way to preserve your (non existant in my view) national cohesion.

It's good. The end justifies the means and each gets there from different routes.

However the democrats need to make that a reality. I have my doubts that they will.

                          • Fair enough.

                            I don't agree with you.

There are rocky times ahead, but the right wing is losing grip rapidly in this country and world. The last gasp dying breath.

My only priority is winning and keeping the upper hand. Like a poker game.

                            • That's cool but in order to do that you need to have a subtle apprehension of all the undercurrents. And first of all knowing what you're fighting for.
