  • i think you're just making a false equivalence here. we're not talking about the everyday corruption and shady dealings that exist everywhere. you compared the clinton situation with that in britain, germany or sweden. find me a british, german or swedish politician who's gone from 'dead broke' to 9 figures by selling speeches and access. you won't because they don't exist. i know of some brazilian politicians who have managed similar, albeit somewhat less spectacular, increases in wealth. they are (mostly) either in or going to gaol. and, as i said earlier in the thread, if any third world politician/political family increased their wealth by as much as the clintons have, no one would believe that it came from something other than corruption, and they'd be right!

and i am well aware of paying people absurd sums to speak. in fact i did a translation recently for someone who gets about $15,000 and requires a helicopter ride(!) to give a 90 minute speech. but he, tim cook, etc. are successful businesspeople who have products and services to sell and insights into how to do so. what is clinton selling? there's your answer.

edit: and that tim cook link was for a charity event in any case.

    • I think you are simply making exaggerated claims and conjectures. She was giving those speeches as a private citizen, so you are in no position to make the claim of corruption.

      • As I talked about Remington earlier... I found out something else. Remington is owned by a former advisor of Mike Huckabee. It is totally GOP owned. Yeah no thanks. No poll is credible which has nearly 60% of respondents over the age of 50. The sampling has a 10% tilt towards Republicans. The sad part is Hillary still leads even with that basis lol.

Anyways a new AP poll puts the GOP at the brink of disaster. Other more reliable composite polls give Hillary a lead anywhere from 5-11%.

This AP poll puts her ahead at 14%.

Watch the daily tracking polls change the week before. It has happened before.

NEW YORK (AP) — Hillary Clinton appears on the cusp of a potentially commanding victory over Donald Trump, fueled by solid Democratic turnout in early voting, massive operational advantages and increasing enthusiasm among her supporters.

And Texas has been moved into swing state status officially on RCP.

        • Want to know why Texas is now under doubt?

Texas’ voter identification law violates the U.S. law prohibiting racial discrimination in elections, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday.

Texas has seen a surge in registrations and many of its voters did not have the ID. The fifth circuit, the most conservative of them all, struck down the law. This opened the door.

            • Hillary is an angel compared to the guy she is running against and on any other day, is a solid candidate.

Actually Donald Trump has at least one good quality. That is he doesn't care what people like you think of him, no matter how many you are. He just keeps persevering. You can't say the same for Hillary. She could never stand up to the media like that. They actually protect her, the same as Obama. Maybe more so. Hillary is actually very week, in every way I can think of.

Oh he doesn't care lol? From all the tweets responding to criticisms he seems to take a vested interest. He even responded to a SNL skit for goodness sakes. He cares deeply because his ego gets hurt everytime. He is an incredibly unstable and dangerous man. Usually people with these personality traits, try to assault others and exercise control over them... Oh wait.

And Hillary handles her just fine. Same lady who sat in an 11 hour hearing, while sniffling Donald can't even last in a 90 minute debate. Like it or not, questioning her stamina is something you simply don't have a basis in doing.

You have it backasswards, once again.

Trump is a weak pathetic man that has to respond to every swipe. From SNL to Megyn Kelly.

Keep trying to find that one good trait. Get back to me before it's 2017.

Lolllllllll I don't watch American news. Only international here.

And for someone so tough, he sure made it easy for Hillary to get under his skin. He is a thin skinned a-hole and I am sure the people here who don't like Hillary all that much, will agree with me.

An interesting article suggested that he seems obsessed with attention and status. Perhaps that is why he so often reacts in a "thin skinned" way?

Donald Trump is a man obsessed with his standing among his peers and has a real fear of losing relevance, according to leaked tapes and expert analysis.

I just remember him ripping a page out of his notebook at the end of the third debate with a pissed off look on his face.

Good article. The sad part of it is that he irreparably damaged his brand. His supporters aren't going to be spending big bucks at lofty DC hotels or golf courses.
