However Trump, or someone like trump in the future as I said, is going to win for reasons that are not restrained to this
    It's a demographic shift.

Trump is the dying breath of white supremacists, who are a big part of his movement. A sugarcoated version of Trump won't win in the future because the republican party has already alienated too many people.

This was their last shot... look at it this way. If Texas flips in 2020 or 2024, explain to me how they will win.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

    • Understand american elections get minimum coverage here.
I read an article that explained how "make america great again" of trump translates to the inevitably lost "make america white again" and I agree, as I said, that this is the case.

      However it goes beyond that.

clinton seems to represent all the vested interests and the established status quo that is failing the people dramatically.

she may win over trump now, but this system is not sustainable.

They'll win another election again because stupid neo-liberals like yourself will rest on your laurels and gloat instead of doing the hard work required to finish the war. You're already doing that before this one battle is even over.

            And how is that?

            Failing the people? Whom?

The democrats have a rainbow coalition of sorts, and this country will majority minority in a decade. So, how does this work?\

            More votes win.

            • I'd just like to point out (again) that Stupid Dying White Male Trumpists dominate both the police and the military and therefore, strictly speaking, may not require the support of a bunch of Latino voters in Texas. The system ultimately rests on the willingness of all Americans to respect and abide by it. That willingness is very rapidly decaying. Probably not (yet) to the point where violent resistance will prove likely if Trump loses--I don't think they're loyal to him so much as they are to what he represents--but if Hillary governs at all like she's campaigned, 2020 could get quite ugly.

More votes will win in the end.

California = The Future. 45% Democrat, 25% Republican, 30% independent.

And your argument about the police and military is borderline on nasty. This isn't a military regime.

                • There seems to be great dissatisfaction in the US (it is the same all over).
Trump is your equivalent of european nazi parties.
They do not win. Trump is not nazi. He may win.

However, one will eventually emerge that will again challenge the present status quo and this time he/she will be very convincing.

As to why there is this dissatisfaction, I'm left wing, you know why I think that is.

Again. Let me explain this more clearly.

The majority do not side with the far right. This is why they won't win in the end.

                    Your argument is inadequate.

                    • Again you try to limit that to race when from what I understand that's just a facet of american politics and doesn't encapsulate the whole.

                      • Erm, no. Ballots are flimsy paper, and will not resist assault rifle fire or even tasers.

Again you're quite seriously mistaken about how it totally plays a part in this.

A majority DOES NOT agree with the far right. How more simple do I need to make this?

Majority wins out in the end. Period.

                          • To make it more clear, the winning strategy for clinton and established status quo like her cannot, indefinitely be about race.

This isn't a military regime try again.

But then again, people said the same thing around the 1960s civil rights act. Who won out in the end?
