well, to be honest, a lot of it is a trollolololo for gian's benefit. i have said many times, in this thread and others, that they are both rotten candidates; however, given the choice of clinton or trump, i choose trump. my main reasons are foreign policy (isolationist vs interventionist), corruption (somewhat dodgy vs 100% bought and sold) and trade (anti-TTIP vs pro-TTIP). but there's something else, too, which i think the bold bit sums up well: this complete incomprehension that many liberals (and i use the word in both the european and american senses here) have for people with different views, the idea that those who see things differently must be bad, stupid and/or uneducated.

the brexit vote and the subsequent moaning and recriminations were a great example of this, and i have taken great satisfaction from seeing liberals stare in utter disbelief as their weak arguments, hectoring, and faux superiority failed to convince people at the ballot box. i hope to see the same again on nov 9th, though i doubt it will come to pass.

      • Even if Clinton wins this election a tump-esque contidate will win the next one.

The current political system in the US is breathing its last dying breaths.

Notice how I don't give two ****s about what you post. It isn't hard to see it.

By the way, California is poised to become the 5th biggest economy in the world because of Brexit.

It's a shame Jerry Brown didn't run for the White House. I'm supporting Hillary, but I would have supported Brown or Biden. Brown basically said absolutely not and that he wants to retire. Who can blame him.

Also as far as Trump and trade. He's not what you think.

There's something to this. There was a recent-ish article in . . . the New Yorker, was it? Can't recall. Anyway, it was an analysis of Trump voters' motivations, which concluded that a good part of it was simple rage at the endless contempt and condescension directed their way by liberal elites. In the exact same issue someone wrote a terribly clever satirical "the Pences visit Manhattan" piece, which basically served as a case study in dickish liberal condescension. The couple go to New York, for example, and can't think of anywhere better to eat than Red Lobster. If you can imagine. HARRRRRRRR.

                Demographically speaking... no.

This is really their only shot. And if they try to put some sugarcoated version of Trump, it won't work because it doesn't appeal to the angry white male voter. They need someone loud and obnoxious.

There are just too many changes happening in this country, even in states like Georgia and Texas. Which I must say democrats are getting major numbers out in early voting, even during this weekend.

Ironically, this whole unprofessional misconduct by Comey may have fired up democrats even further.

                • The main argument for Trump supporters is "making America white again". I've already gone through this. They want to kick brown people out and they are angry and upset that brown people are having too much of a say now.

Look at Texas... a state where there is a tuggle war going on and democrats are apparently turning out in big numbers to vote, even during the weekend.

Eventually the entire nation will turn into California politically (overall). That is inevitable. They can take it or leave it. I'm thinking along the lines 45% democrat, 25% republican and the rest are independent.

You sit here and tell us the Trump supporters have such a strong argument. Sorry, but it's been thoroughly debunked time and time again through logic and reason. You don't make a strong argument by insulting minorities and people who are different than you. That is why the Trump movement is a perpetual failure and not even a non-existent email issue will save them. They are grasping at the straws.

                    • Case in point? Oh really? Are you going to sit here and deny that immigration isn't their key focus point? And without it they wouldn't have a movement?

A majority of this country doesn't agree with Trump. And that's why they'll fail.

                        • America is heading toward the day when whites will no longer make up the majority of the population. And U.S. children will get there soon, according to a new U.S. Census Bureau report.

They are mad because of this. That is their primary reason.

This article regards children, but by 2040 it'll come to fruition.

Republicans lost an entire generation of voters because of Drumpz. And that's success?

I don't care but I also choose trump, but it is just a matter of time before this becomes reality.

                              No it's not.

                              I already explained why.

This is another key reason why it won't be able to happen. They won't be able to win Texas. It may not happen this year, but by 2020 or 2024...

Here is a hint: Too many brown people.

yes I understand that there is a race war going on in america and I'm happy the german bred anglosaxon protestant wannabes the likes of dinner are losing big time.

However Trump, or someone like trump in the future as I said, is going to win for reasons that are not restrained to this
