i read a bit of it. it looks like nonsense to be honest. there's no evidence, and the two journalists involved were caught out lying about a similar story in may.

trump is certainly a sleazy individual, but these stories don't pass the smell test.

The NYT isn't the only outlet who've had women come forward, we're up to 9 accusers from various sources. Also, the NYT verified that these women detailed their interactions with Trump at that time to other witness, who confirmed to the NYT.

I know it's not a tape, but what we DO have are tapes of Trump explicitly boasting of engaging in the exact same behavior of which he's accused. I don't know what more you could want to believe women who come forward. He says he did this stuff, they confirm: yup, he did this stuff to us. It's utterly foolish not to believe them, when he's basically admitted it's what he does, regularly.

While not concrete proof, I don't think very many people need actual proof to know he's a scumbag that has done it.
The ones that don't probably require it to be on video tape before they would.

The weird thing is, we all knew Trump had character flaws. In fact, he has so many character flaws that it's easier to just list the handful of things that are not morally wrong about him:

* He is only intellectually lazy. He can apparently work hard.
* While a large man, he is not especially gluttonous.
* He has shown no sign of being cowardly, except in the sense that he does not seem to love anything more than himself and would therefore not risk himself in any sense for anyone. Possibly he does love his kids, and might eat a bullet for one, but that's a question mark.

That's it, AFAICT. And, of all the endless moral deficits he has displayed, the rapey stuff is perhaps the least disqualifying when it comes to his ability to perform the duties he aspires to. Plenty of very talented leaders have been lascivious to the point of sexual assault. Unless a nubile young woman happens to take over a major world power, Trump is highly unlikely to cause mass devastation in the Oval Office on account of his grabby little hamfingers. So it's somewhat ironic that this is the thing everyone objects to, long after all his totally ruinous defects were old news.

You are missing the point. All the people who think Trump is not qualified to be POTUS decided that a LONG time ago. The whole sexual assault thing is just the closest thing that MIGHT make him disqualified in the eyes of those who will vote or are considering voting for him. In fact, it might cast enough of a shadow on the Republican party that they lose control of the Senate too. This is why it is a big deal now.

If Hillary wins, it only guarantees 4 more years of the same. There is no reason to think Hillary can be more than 1 term President. If she can turn around her standing and perform well in the job then she will deserve another 4 years. And, frankly, I'll take it. The last 8 years were are lot better than the previous 8 for me and everyone around me. Of course, I do have a college education and I'm not white.

With so many minorities that nearly make a majority now in the US, redistribution of wealth is a one way street. There's noone that can sustain that ideal after obama for the short time being and the little egg of the snake rears its tiny ugly head from time to time, but the future belongs to us (widely speaking)

Not according to the guy who ghost wrote The Art of the Deal for him back in the 80s. Said Trump wouldn't stick with anything longer than 10 minutes, would easily get bored and distracted both in his interviews and just on calls he made, would never focus on any 1 task for a long period of time.
