Trump rather reminds me [extremely nerdy analogy] of Yang from SMAC. Yang had an immunity to efficiency penalties, which meant that he could never hurt himself that way with Social Engineering no matter how many otherwise-ruinous policy choices he made. In game mechanics terms, his Efficiency value could be modified, but could never go below zero. Now, since he couldn't run Democracy, he was also prevented from ever really becoming very efficient. He was condemned to perpetual mediocrity in that respect, which amounted to an asset for him in the long run. Most Yang players just went with Police State and Planned and enjoyed their benefits without the drawbacks that would slaughter any other player.
Trump is like that, but for morals. He is so transparently, comically lacking in all virtue and principle that charges of vice and corruption simply don't hurt him. All they do is keep him from running as a boy scout--but since he was never going to be able to do that anyway, that hardly matters. He's free to be shameless.[/ENA]Comment

All the characters are ridiculous cartoons, each plays very differently, yet somehow the game is reasonably balanced. Any player can be strong if handled correctly. I personally liked to spam Lal since he effectively has no restraints on population growth, nor any real negatives. Also he's the least morally repulsive.Comment
